Thanksgiving may be the largest eating event in the United States, usually revolving around big meals with family and friends.
I can only imagine given the amount of food, the time it takes for preparation of those delicious meals, so it's all thanks to the hard working ladies out there.
So it inspired my illustration. Sweets, wine, turkey and fun.
I first sketched it, imported in Photoshop, traced with my pen tool and then added some ink textures.
I like all the purple you used in here. We painted also, and it was super fun and so relaxing. I find it much less stressful when we split up the work with family, and that was a relief. I mostly just had to make pies.
Yes, having friends to bring dishes to joint meal helps a bunch. Glad to hear you had fun ❤️
We don't have Thanksgiving in Australia but I loved your artwork; the palette of light muted colours is divine and the textures add so much depth :)
