Whatever I do, I find it very hard to reduce the size of my Google Drive. It is always 80 or 90 percent full even though I'm in a paid plan. Out of all the choises I have, I prefer choosing google and having that as my drive for some important files. But these days I started looking for an alternative that can act both as a storage drive and at the same time it can be affordable and reliable as well. This does not mean that I'm going to ditch Google Drive. I want to have a backup somewhere and this website came to my visibility.
I saw about this website in one of the Youtube shorts. Someone was suggesting this website for their business needs. I was curious to go and check the Pricing of the product and I was surprised to see 100 GB as the free storage space. This is an amazing thing. I wanted to be sure if I can use this as an alternative to Google Drive but I'm still not sure if every feature by Google Drive will have an alternative in these set of service providers.
I did not get a chance to play around with the website completely. I signed up and I was able to see the dashboard. I'm yet to explore how I can have my media and how it can be viewed. There are special offers for people who have artistic skills and those who are students. I have to admit that even the paid version of the software is affordable which is only 10 dollars a month. But for regular needs just the free plan itself is more than sufficient.
Even though there are a few restrictions on the free account. Mostly that itself should be sufficent for many thing. I wish there was an API option available to manage the files. If there was one, it would be nice to programically interact with Playbook.com through API and do whatever is needed for us.
I have this big question in my mind. How would they manage to give 100 GB free storage to a free user. I understand that there are many similar websites available that provides free services but this one is impressive. I will be doing some more deep dive to understand how I can make use of the website and gradually start using the website.
