SpaceX is launching 52 additional Satellites for their own Starlink Constellation.

This is the third batch of satellites for the 4th layer of the constellation. Shell 4 is in a 540km circular low-Earth orbit. These satellites are equiped with laser links installed.

The booster is a Block 5 and will land on a drone ship. This is the first time a booster will be reflown for the 11th time.

The mission to low earth orbit will launch from Vandenberg, California.

Cargo:

  • Payload mass is approximately 15 tonnes
  • 52 Starlink Satellites

Where to watch:

There has been a growing interest by multiple parties to build large satellite constellations. Will these competitors ever be able to challenge Starlink and make money? Will they need to find a different business model?
