RE: How to apply CPU thermal paste: Best and easiest method.

in STEMGeekslast year

I tend to go for the pea sized blob in the centre, which seems to work fine based on cpu temps whenever I do it. I've been impressed with people going to the lengths of using a clear plastic covering to demonstrate the different spread and coverage - and I seem to remember the X and pea sized blob came out pretty much the same.

Yep, it doesn't make a lot of difference as long enough paste is applied.

LIAR 😂😅

First we should definite: "A lot of Difference".

For my work, every single degree is important to get out of my heatsinks. I swear, Normal Users never see a difference. But there are some crazy ones like me, who startet that religion and hold it up.^^

haha, if you are into OC it could make a difference, but then I would not go with thermal paste in the first place.

I am Miner. So iam a professional Overclocker and Undervolter now over the years.^^

I do never use Water or other Cooling Solutions between Aircooling and passiv Cooling.

You would not belive what is possible, if you know the right things under air.

But for normal Persons that is not a way. :-)
