Interesting facts. This one seems off:

Only one-fifth of the energy released by the sun reaches Earth.

The earth is just one tiny little marble in the solar system. The earth would only receive a tiny portion of the energy produced by the sun. We are probably receive something like a billionth of the energy produced by the sun.
