That looks like a great idea.
There is so much difference in the way an art photo comes out in different types of light. I have a window area that during the day has the right sunlight. Since I normally paint on canvas, I have sometimes used a wreath holder on a closet door in that area to take art photos in the day. It works decent, but I'd love to have lighting that would allow me to take good ones are night too.

Yes it differs a lot! I have process pics of this mandala so far in many different lights.. pretty annoying to be honest, as this would be one that I'd want to show with the same light constantly.
That's great! I wish I could say the same, but living in an apartment block, where the building is in a square and we have an inner garden in the middle, we're built in as we have 8 levels above us. I think it's better for those that live on higher levels.
I remember in the past having a tiny photo studio for my small handmade crafts. Worked like a charm! But these aren't suitable for canvasses or drawings like this, that's too big. Glad you at least have the window to shoot the pictures :)
