Now that is a serious tank! Excellent post and very interesting.

If you were to use it for drinking water too, how much additional filtration and processing would it need to make it 100% potable? For drinking water, do the tanks need to be made from some sort of food-grade plastic?

    to get drinking water this way is a great idea in general but here in germany and for me it wouldnt make too sense because the water out of any regular faucet is drinking water. thats also why i cant tell you much atm about the food-grade plastic because i havent digged into that topic too much. i was just looking for a water tank in general.

    Thanks for the reply. Same issues here in the UK too about the tap water being perfect but it was just a thought about a further step towards off-grid life!
