This following article(not peer reviewed yet, in pre-print) is an observational cohort study which aimed to establish the the rate of reinfection and recurrence in healthcare workers who already had had COVID-19. The period of time evaluated was about 10 months
I will focus in the reinfection part. Out of 2625 individuals, 5.94% experienced reinfection, which was defined as a new PCR positive test more than 90 days after the initial infection. Of these people, newly infected people, 97.44% were working in clinical environments.
This article shows that reinfection is relatively rare, within the 10 month period and it is almost exclusively limited to highly exposed individuals

Honestly it never hurts to be careful. If you know you are likely to come in contact with any virus, it's a good idea to take precautions. Even if it only prevents the common flu you have saved yourself some misery.
