This following article(June 2021), is a systematic review and meta-analysis of 6 studies. It reviewed the levels of vitamin D in two groups of patients, a group with poor prognosis (ICU admission, death, severe presentation) and with good prognosis and compared them.

The levels of vitamin D in the poor prognosis group were significantly lower than in the good prognosis group. This finding was consistent all along the the 6 studies that formed part of the meta-analysis.

The rationale for having adequate vitamin D levels is that vitamin D is an immunomodulator, which may be a factor that reduces the strength of the "cytokine storm".

I suspect that the Northern Hemisphere will see an uptick in the severity of COVID19 in the Fall when the tilt of the earth reduces our vitamin D level.

There are other immunomodulators such as Vitamin K. Apparently corticalsteroids, which are produced in the adrenal gland, are also important as is the balance of magnesium, zinc and other minerals.

Personally, I think we could beat COVID19 back through good immune system health.

It is important to get the body ready for the infection, because sooner or later, it will get you
