You can add earthquakes. After the earthquake in the forties of the last century, the full-flowing river Cahul. which flows in the south of Moldova, has practically disappeared, and it was navigable. As a result, the drainage of the soil and so on.

Earthquakes are natural disasters and occur very rarely, although it can be a cause but I haven't got any specific instance like you mentioned above. My region got earthquakes some years ago in a mountainous region where river water flows down towards irrigation system, I see no changes in that area, it's all same.

It is a rare case where tectonic plates might cut off on a long span that have caused the flow to disturb.
