Visit the natural land of Northwest Vietnam

in Worldmappin10 months ago (edited)

Hello friends. Today I want to introduce to you two places with the most beautiful nature in Vietnam: Sapa and Ha Giang, these places are in the northwest of Vietnam. This place is always the perfect tourist destination for those who want to explore wild and majestic nature. Especially young people with pressures in life often come here to experience the life of highlanders. This place is not suitable for the elderly and weak because the path is quite dangerous and winding, and you have to walk quite a lot. I'm doing freelance work related to crypto so I spend most of my time going somewhere to relieve stress. Below are my shares after a 3-day, 2-night journey with my group of friends. When setting foot in Ha Giang, I felt like immersing myself in an exquisite natural painting generously gifted by Mother Nature.

Ha Giang Land

Ha Giang, located at the northernmost point of Vietnam with an elevation of about 2000 meters above sea level, Ha Giang is bestowed with majestic natural beauty. The landscape here is one of a kind, with majestic mountains covered with white clouds, lush forests, natural waterfalls and meandering rivers and vast fields. Camping and having BBQ here is an interesting experience. I feel very happy to be able to go with my group of friends to places with natural mountains and forests like this.

Ha Giang is a cool place all year round, so if you want to escape the smoky heat of the city, come here to breathe the air and admire the scenery. Every corner of this place exudes a dreamy vibe, like a blossoming young maiden, full of freshness and vitality.

However, determining the most beautiful season in Ha Giang is not easy. Each season brings its own allure. Yet, from September to November is perhaps the ideal time to visit. Autumn brings mesmerizing beauty with golden terraced fields stretching endlessly. Walking through ripe rice fields, breathing in the fresh air, and surrendering to the autumn breeze fills my soul with joy.

Don't miss the season of buckwheat flowers from October to November. The colors transition from white to light pink, deep pink, and finally purple, creating a magnificent natural masterpiece.

But Ha Giang is not just about natural beauty; it also preserves many historical and cultural relics of ethnic minorities in the northern mountainous region. Don't forget to explore the villages, ancient towns and rocky plateaus for an interesting experience.

However, it's worth noting that when visiting Ha Giang, don't forget to stop by the villages of ethnic minorities.

This place still has no electricity and lacks clean water. Even though they live in difficulty, the children are still optimistic and always smile. Every month, many volunteer groups come here to do charity, they bring the children clothes, food and warm blankets.

Ha Giang is not only a great tourist destination but also a place to experience meaningful natural beauty and where we can see the humanity of human love.

Sapa land

Sapa, the land of various ethnic groups including the H'mong, Dao, Tay, Giay, Xa Pho, Kinh, and Hoa, is waiting to unveil its marvelous beauty. It's not just an ordinary tourist destination but a journey to discover true culture and nature.

When you arrive in Sapa, you will feel like you are lost in paradise with clouds all around. The climate, averaging between 1500m – 1800m in altitude, exhibits typical temperate characteristics with four seasons in a day and a stable temperature of 15-18°C. Each morning brings a new sensation, from the freshness of spring to the gentle warmth of summer, the mist and fog creating the coolness of autumn, and the chill of winter.Vietnam is a tropical monsoon country so the climate is quite hot and there is no snow. However, in the winter in Sapa, snow often appears. This is also the only province in Vietnam with snow, that's why it is here attracts many curious tourists who like to watch snow.

From the early days of mountain exploration to its development as an ideal resort and recuperation destination for the French, Sapa has gone through many historical periods full of changes. The Sino-Vietnamese War in 1979 caused heavy damage to Sapa, however over time this place has been renovated many times and has become a famous tourist destination attracting all tourists.

The unique culture of the highland ethnic groups is also a major attraction when visiting Sapa. Silver Waterfall, Heaven Gate, Cau May, Gio Cave and Ham Rong Mountain are the places you go to if you have the opportunity to visit Sapa, you will understand more about the traditions and lifestyle of ethnic minorities.
And one place you cannot miss is conquering Fansipan peak. Fansipan, the tallest mountain in Vietnam and the entire Indochina region, rightfully earns its title as "The Roof of Indochina". Standing tall at 3,143 meters above sea level, nestled within the majestic Hoang Lien Son mountain range, Fansipan resides at the border between Lai Chau and Lao Cai provinces.

With an estimated age of 260 - 250 million years, Fansipan continues to rise by 0.32 meters annually, making it an irresistible destination for Sapa travelers. Before climbing to the top of Fansipan, you need to wear warm clothes and walking shoes because the distance is very long. As I climbed higher and the temperature dropped, I felt short of breath and dizzy.

However, upon overcoming these obstacles, you will be greeted by fresh, crisp air, immersing yourself in nature's embrace, surrounded by the grandeur of towering mountains and feeling the refreshing chill seeping into your soul.

At the mountain's foothills lie lush landscapes adorned with rice paddies, banana trees, and dense forests, creating picturesque landmarks. Due to its towering height of over 3,000 meters, trekking through Fansipan exposes you to various climatic zones, each with its own unique weather patterns.

However, during the rainy season, thick fog may obscure your views, dampening the experience. Hmm I went to Fansipan on a day when the weather was not nice, the sky was quite gloomy and too foggy so I couldn't take any photos.
Traveling to Sapa is not only to admire the beauty of nature, but it also helps you relax and better understand the lifestyle customs of ethnic minorities. With its blend of mist and mountain forests, Sapa truly deserves the title "The Land of Mist" in Vietnam.
