This year, on my birthday I decided to do something different. I’m the one who’s not so interested in celebrating birthdays so this time I thought why not to go on a solo trip and challenge that introverted Aastha (me) :)
So Hey hivers today I’m going to share some shots I took from the Solo trip of mine, to one of the secluded places in Himachal Pradesh. The Place is called Tirthan Valley. Many of you heard it before like Jibhi, Jalori Pass, Tirthan. But I went to an unexplored beautiful little village Sharchi.
I started my journey from Chandigarh and travelled in night bus. It took me 8-9 hours to reach Kullu. Then one sir from the cafe came to pick me up. I reached the cafe, took some rest in my room and then started thinking… Tomorrow is my birthday, I don’t know anyone here, nobody knows me, how it’s going to be happen?
After thinking I headed towards cafe for lunch. And while having lunch I made some friends (I don’t know how!?) there was one aunty who came with her son and was very friendly. She gathered 4-5 people together. We played many games and talked a lot. I told her that tomorrow is my birthday and she told everyone there lol.

This way my first stay for the trip. A beautiful boutique hostel on the outskirts of a town called Banjaar in tirthan valley. This hostel is run by a native family,
Hosts are very good in nature and helpful. They’ll take you to several nearby hikes in the valley from very basic to intermediate level that anyone can done without any help of guide.
Sheena, who runs this hostel is very nice person. I wanted to meet her but when I reached hostel she was in Jibhi. As this was kind of first solo trip, I was little nervous and wanted to go back! to be honest. But then I texted Sheena, I’m here wanna meet you… so she invited me to her bakery cafe in Jibhi. It was very awkward at first but then turned out cool. We had coffee and talked about graphic designing. And after that session I felt very relaxed and comfortable. I headed back to the hostel with a smile on my face:)

The evening here was full of music sessions and jamming. As the sun sets everyone gathered for dinner time. We’re playing cards while waiting for food. At this time 2-3 people became my friend they planned to wish me at 12:00am haha. I was very happy and enjoying. By the dinner all guests came together and joined our group, then we all were just waiting for 12!
And the moment came, all wished me happy birthday they started singing and brought brownies to cut as a birthday cake. It was so cute. Unexpected

What a lovely experience it was. Next morning I happily came down to cafe for breakfast and 4-5 friends were making plan to go for a trek they also invited me. I had no plans so I joined and told them about Sharchi Village. The group got excited as it was unexplored place. We got ready, headed towards the destination. This is very easy trek and everyone can do it easily. Around 3-4 km only.
You’ll find locals here very friendly they’ll take care of you’re on right path or you need anything, they try their best to help and comfort you. Bonus, mountain dogs will follow you on your hike and it more interesting & loving. Also I made a little friend Naira. I loved her name. She was eating dal rice in her cafe, we also joined her.
On this solo trip I met people from different areas like Udaipur, Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Manipur, Assam and it was nice experience. I learned that the day you’ll be able to leave your comfort zone and try to do something out of the box, the universe will also help you. I was worrying about I came to a solo trip but what if this, what if that, THIS WHAT IF CAN RUIN EVERY SPECIAL THING IN YOUR LIFE just go for it! Do it
I don’t like talking to people too much, but I like to know about a person. This thing is interesting to me when they start opening up to me and I just love to hear every detail inch by inch. Because I believe, somewhere humans just want to be heard properly by someone and it really makes them feel good and light. So just do whatever makes you happy, don’t save it for the last, the time is now!
