It's been such a long time I did not make motorcycle travel and when I got a couple of days off from work. I decided to get back on the wheels. It happened a month ago and my newly modified bike was waiting for me to ride. I packed my bag and off to go. I departed from Lhokseumawe at 11.20 am to the capital city of Aceh, Banda Aceh 273 km away from home. It took me around five hours. It's always been great to have motorcycle travel because I could see the various view during the ride, and I often stopped when my eyes caught up with the beautiful stuff that I found during the ride the street but I did not make a long stop due to the rain was about to come, I had to catch the destination before the dark.
Well! I thought I would find some fascinating spots throughout the city but the weather seemed to be reluctantly welcoming me and I had to wait till midnight to explore the tourist spot. It sounds weird enough, but I came a long way and I had to bring something home. Along with some friends, we made our way to Ulee Lhee harbor, just to get some night view.
Unfortunately, I could not manage to get beautiful nite views from this spot due to the drizzle seemed no way to stop. We ended up being around the front harbor gate which was not really caught me up.
I did not give up, and the plan was set for the next destination to the "Lampulo", intending to shoot a few long exposures after midnight but still, this was not as fascinating as I expected. However, I managed to get the pictures. Lampulo was known as the largest fishing spot was once badly devastated by Tsunami in 2004.
It's two days already, and my time to go back home but before I really left the city, upon my friend's request, I decided to pay a quick visit to the historic cemetery that is located near the Tsunami building. A few meters away from the main street.
The front gate of the cemetery. This gate leads the visitor to the largest cemetery of the Dutch army who died during the Dutch War (1873–1904). Known as the war memorial of Kerkhof Peucut in Banda Aceh.
This burial site is very well treated by Aceh's people. I also saw some cemetery workers were being busy with the cleaning as it is regarded as a historical site that we must take care of.
This is the view of the Tsunami wall that I was seen from the burial site. As many of us have posted here this is a tsunami museum, a memorial building of tsunami that occurred on December 26, 2004. A half of Banda Aceh was wiped off by the highest level wave and left with a hundred thousand deads.
After spending an hour in the historic site, I was back on the wheels and left the city. I always enjoy going on motorcycle trips because I feel comfortable and free, which allows me to enjoy the sights, as well as, can stop wherever I like, drink coffee, or even get into the hidden spots. My wheel kept moving, passing the windy road, "Selawah." Here I spent a little while getting friends with the wild monkeys but they did not want me to get closer because I got nothing to share with them.
Spending almost 5 hours on the road with my two wheels vehicle was an incredible moment, a moment of fighting with the cold, the sun burning but all this experience makes me addicted to having another ride.

If you want to be happy for a year, marry.
If you want to be happy for a lifetime, ride a motorcycle.”
