May your coffee be strong, and your day be beautiful! Good day, Hives! It's me again, Ace26, your Gwapo (handsome) blogger from the Philippines.
Today this blog is the continuation of my latest blog, Whether you're a history buff, an art enthusiast, or simply curious about the Queen City of the South, the National Museum offers a captivating experience for everyone. So, come along with me as I explore the wonders within Sugbo's Hidden Treasure!
Since it was my first time visiting a historical place like Fort San Pedro I thought our adventure would end in Fort San Pedro but my wife decided to visit The National Museum of the Philippines in Cebu I asked him where it was since our motorcycle was been parked near the Basilica de Menore de Santo Nino but she just pointed the Museum that I thought it was the City Hall of the Cebu City.
anyway if you plan to visit the Museum don't forget to buy some coconut juice for Kuya it was worth buying it for him, his coconut juice is so refreshing since the weather today is like burning the place before entering the Museum.
The Museum was built in 1910 and it was a Cebu Customs House before it became a Museum, An America Architect Named William Parsons Designed The National Museum of the Philippines also Known as the Aduana.
The Museum focuses on the History and heritage of the Visayas Region most especially Cebu's Rich History and Culture, The museum’s collection includes artefacts, artworks, and other cultural materials showcasing Cebu’s rich history and heritage of the Visayas region. Where my son enjoyed the way he posed on camera whenever I took photos of him I saw that he enjoyed our adventure here in the museum.
I took a photo of him with the fake Alimango ( Crab ) in actuality you would think that this crab was real and also that butterfly did a great job.
They also have this whale shark as big as the real whale shark we are amazed at how that artist does and how long it takes to make this one.
this also includes the Cebu tamaraw which also showcases the tamaraw's bones. And there is a Touchscreen TV where you can search or zoom the entire Cebu Province.
In this Gallery, you will see some of the archaeological artefacts found in Cebu that were placed in the National Museum of the Philippines,
including the gold death mask and the ewer which was recovered in Plaza Independencia also you will some of the artillery collections.
Here they showcase the boatbuilding and fishing tradition one of the models that have been showcased is the baroto a non-motorized boat used by fishing from Alcoy Cebu. a fishing cage and fishing tools from Bantayan Cebu.
