Greetings hive community, this is my first post here and I want to introduce myself with a post that represents what I am, my name is Jesus Marcano and I am from the Sucre state in Venezuela, I graduated a few years ago from the Universidad de Oriente as a Bachelor of Tourism, which has allowed me to know a large part of the territory of my country, either for work or simply for the pleasure of traveling and learning, in this first installment I will show you some images of a trip I made to a camp in the Bolívar state on the shores of the Caura river, which goes by the name El Playón, this was a work trip but we were still able to enjoy all the benefits of the camp and its surroundings and to get there we had to navigate the Orinoco River and then the Caura River for approximately five hours, among the people who accompanied me was @aikiado who was the first person to tell me about this platform.

After so much sailing we arrived at this beautiful camp where the Yekuana indigenous people welcomed us with open arms and 5-star service, they are really very friendly people and with a great vocation for service, it is evident that tourism is their main economic activity in this area.

There among other things, we witnessed how the inhabitants of this camp make their handicrafts to market them with the tourists who visit the camp and we also received a visit from some Chigüires or Capibaras or Carpinchos, who approached friendly while we were eating, looking for us to give them something to eat, in this place wildlife abounds and is everywhere since basically the camp is in the middle of the jungle.

The day after our arrival, obviously after a good breakfast, guided by an friendly indigenous person from the camp, we geared up and headed towards the main tourist attraction in the area, the Pará Waterfall and our guide was in charge of giving us the data of this spectacular Waterfall, there was where I found out that this is about 64 meters high and is the second largest in the world in terms of its total width (5,608 m) and the largest in America, our guide was a true expert regarding this place, (of course, it is his job).

He also told us that the waterfall is subdivided into seven ravines and after appreciating them, we asked him if we could go to one of those ravines and he took us to the closest one from where we were and there we could appreciate the immense force of the falling water.

Then we reached the upper part and there we took a bath in the waters of the Caura, while Jonas (the guide) was up there told us that the Caura river divides there at the waterfall, in the high Caura from the upper part and the low part Caura from the lower part, after that refreshing bath we returned to the camp to rest, in total it took us about two hours to go and two more to return, I highly recommend this place, since the attention of the locals is excellent and the natural beauties of the surroundings are truly amazing, all images were taken with a Canon PowerShot A570 IS camera.

I really love nature. The place is very captivating. It is far from pollutants and the lifestyle of the people is simple which I like most.

The inhabitants there are skillful. The handicraft that you have shared is not that easy to make and needs more patience.

Regarding the wild animals, may all of them have inner peace with nature. I hope they are harmless and may they are always safe too.

Thanks you for stopping by.
