Mount Bromo or "Brahma" has an altitude of 2,329 meters above sea level, is in East Java and is a mountain that lies in the Tengger Mountains Complex area. This mountain is also called the Tengger Caldera, which is an active volcano which has a diameter of ± 800 meters (north-south) and ± 600 meters (east-west) and is in a 10km sea of sand.
According to circulating history, it is said that formerly Mt. Bromo has the name of Mount Tengger with an altitude of 4,000 meters above sea level. As a result of a large eruption, a large valley was formed and created a caldera. Inside the caldera there is a sea of sand due to volcanic material piled up inside. Apart from that, new mountains have emerged such as Mount Kursi, Widodaren, Watangan, Batok and the newest to date is Mount Bromo.

it is said that in ancient times when the Majapahit kingdom experienced attacks from various regions, the natives were confused to find a place to live. Until finally they left and separated into 2 parts. The first goes to Mount Bromo, and the second goes to the island of Bali. To this day, these two places have two things in common, namely that they still both adhere to Hindu religious beliefs.
