In the heart of Ballito lies an incredible hidden gem - an actual hole in the wall at Thompsons Bay. This natural wonder is a captivating rock formation that separates two beaches and creates a stunning tunnel perfect for photo opportunities.
Our day began with a great brunch with the family at a gorgeous little forrest restaurant which fuelled our stomachs for the days adventures.
We spent the longest time walking back and forth through the hole in the wall tunnel, finding new angles and photo opportunities. After our photo session, we took a refreshing dip in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, followed by drying off under the gentle fall sun.
One of the most memorable parts of the day was spending ages sitting in front of a rock with my camera, patiently waiting to capture the perfect photo of a wave crashing against it. The anticipation and excitement of getting that perfect shot made the experience even more special, as well as the hundreds of photos on my camera roll afterwards.
The day continued with pure, childlike joy as we spent hours playing in the sand. We built intricate tunnels, majestic sandcastles, and delightful sand starfish, reveling in the simple pleasures of beach life. Seriously, no one is ever too old to dig in the sand at the beach. Actually who goes to the beach and does not build sand castles, or just dig holes?
Honestly a beautiful and unforgettable place to visit! I hope you enjoyed only a fraction of the photographs I captured on this day! I could have shared hundreds more but decided to not overwhelm you, my fellow blogger friends, with all my snaps.
