700 Year Old Streblus asper
Yesterday I visited a place; it is very close to my village is called Sishu Ananata Matha. This Sishu Ananta Matha is situated at the bank of river Kushabhadra, Balipatna, Bhubaneswar. After visiting this place, I found a 700 year old Streblus Asper. Streblus Asper is a tree. You can found this tree in hot weather countries like, India, Srilanka and etc. The oriya name of this tree is called Sahada Tree in. In my childhood, we used to this tree as tooth brush.
I have visited so many times in this place and also seen so many times to this tree but never have any idea about the age of this tree. This time when I read a message which is written in Oriya language near that tree, then I know that the age of the tree is 700 year. When I read this message, I can’t believe this. I was also astonished. I thought that, the tree age will be around one hundred year.
This tree is inside the Sishu Ananta Matha campus and Sishu Ananta Das was written lots of Oriya literature sitting under this tree. At his last Sishu Anant Das, his will, died at the base of the tree. As you can see in the photo, his grave is at the base of the tree. Sishu Ananta Matha is build by Sishu Ananta Das.

Sishu Anant Das was a famous and well-known poet in Oriya literature. He composed various devotional poets. He was born in the year of 1488 at Balipatna, Bhubaneswar, and Odisha. Initially his real name was Ananta Mohanty. Later his named as Sishu when was adopted by the wife of King Prataparudra Dev. He has more bhakti and deep devotion to the Lord. Due to his deep devotion to the Lord, he wrote various devotional books in oriya literature. One of the famous book is "Hetu Uday Bhagavat". He has gained lots of mysterious power because of his devotion and practice. He got this power when he found a Patita Pavan Murty (Jagannath's idol). Now shame Patitapavan murty is worshiped by us inside the Matha. Sishu Anant Das was also known as the "Panchasakha” in Oriya Literature.
