Hi everyone
Another way out into the middle of nature.
For the reasons already described previously, we remain in a very delicate situation and for that same reason, conditioned on the trips we can make.
Amazing how sometimes we need to be forced and limited to something, to get to know something that has always been so close, and the same applies to more intrinsic aspects of our personality.
I confess that the destination would still have been for the middle of nature, but perhaps it would have been for a more distant place, even knowing the enormous wealth of these mountains, in each exit i always end up finding a new place that until today still did not have known.
In this specific place, known as Couce, inserted in Valongo Mountain range, full of forgotten villages between deep pits and steep valleys, protected by ridges that are noticed through huge blocks of granite at the top of each mountain.
This time we did not go through the ecological corridor and went directly by car towards the Couce village where we parked and from there we continued on foot into the middle of the forest.
Right there at the beginning we noticed an abnormal concentration of animals and decided to go around the village and pass next to what i think is a small farm where some people were building the foundations of the stables and where they kept the animals grazing in a vast flat and green land that still in the distance, we were captivated by the contrast between the bare branches of the trees and the brown soil that surrounded it.
The path took us back towards the village, through which we went through the narrow streets that cross the rustic houses, characteristics of this area.
On the way, there were more visitors that we crossed, than the local inhabitants who are already beginning to find a certain normality to this recent affluence of strangers, resulting from restrictions imposed on free movement and closed trade, especially at the weekend, having many of them found in nature the only possible escape.
These mountains have always been well known and sought after by those who practice sports and outdoor activities, so it is very normal to find people passing by in off-road vehicles, as was the case that i had the opportunity to register when we were reaching the edge of the village and we were getting ready to descend towards a small centenary bridge that allows us to cross the river and choose one of the several possible trails that allow us to traverse the mountains in practically all directions, whether at low altitude next to the river, immersed in a more dense, or even towards the summits.
In a quick search, you will be able to find several articles where i share some of the places i have already visited along these mountains, and when i think there will be nothing new to share, just go out with the camera in my hand and turn to the right where previously had turned left and voilá, another new world: P
Today i stop here, but i can already say that the trail chosen to go was the low altitude next to the riverbed and i can already guarantee that what i found was extremely beautiful :)
