Today was a rainy day so I couldn't help but dedicate some of my time to making this post about my latest excursion to San Zenone degli Ezzelini, in the province of Treviso.

Oggi giornata piovosa così non potevo far altro che dedicare un po' del mio tempo per realizzare questo post della mia ultima escursione a San Zenone degli Ezzelini, in provincia di Treviso.
It wasn't a new trail but it's so beautiful that I do it again with pleasure every time.
You have to follow the Ru path which after just a few minutes enters nature.
Non era un sentiero nuovo ma è così bello che ogni volta lo rifaccio con piacere.
Bisogna percorrere il sentiero del Ru che già dopo pochi minuti si addentra nella natura.
It is very relaxing because there are no roads nearby so the air is clean and the sounds are those of nature.
At a certain point, however, you reach a small town and you come across the asphalt road that goes up towards the church.

E' molto rilassante perchè non ci sono strade vicine quindi l'aria è pulita e i suoni sono sono quelli della natura.
Ad un certo punto però si raggiunge un piccolo abitato e si intercetta la strada asfaltata che sale verso la chiesa.
We pass next to the Ezzelini tower but decide to continue straight up a long staircase.

Passiamo accanto alla torre degli Ezzelini ma decidiamo di proseguire dritti salendo una lunga scala.
We had gained several meters of altitude and the view of the landscape was not bad!

Avevamo guadagnato diversi metri di altitudine e la vista sul paesaggio non era niente male!
At a certain point, once you finish the staircase you find yourself right in front of the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Salute, also called the Red Church.

Ad un certo punto finita la scala ci si trova proprio di fronte al Santuario della Madonna della Salute, ma chiamata anche Chiesetta Rossa.
Large cypress trees guard it all around. It was a beautiful day and the red/pink color of the church created a pleasant effect.

I grandi cipressi la sorvegliano tutt'attorno. Era una bellissima giornata e il colore rosso/rosaceo della chiesa creava un piacevole effetto.
Consider that a castle stood in this place and that the red church was part of it.
Due to the earthquakes of 1695 and 1836 it suffered serious damage, however in 1873 it was rebuilt and built as seen today.
At the back of the church there is another interesting building but I don't know what it is, perhaps the priest's residence... I don't know.

Considerade che in questo luogo sorgeva un castello e che la chiesa rossa faceva proprio parte di esso.
A causa dei terremoti del 1695 e 1836 subì gravi danni, tuttavia nel 1873 fu ricostruita e realizzata come si vede oggi.
Nel retro della chiesa c'è un altro edificio interessante che però non so cosa sia, forse la dimora del prete...non lo so.
There is also a bell tower which has a style that more closely matches the style of this building.

Svetta anche un campanile che ha uno stile che più combacia con lo stile di questo edificio.
A last look at the surrounding panorama and then we set off towards the return.
The light was too beautiful not to take a few more shots!

Un ultimo sguardo al panorama circostante e poi ci siamo incamminati verso il ritorno.
La luce era troppo bella per non fare ancora qualche scatto!
The return was also nice because we took a small detour that took us to a nature trail with wooden walkways and streams.

Anche il ritorno è stato bello perchè abbiamo fatto una piccola deviazione che ci ha portato in un sentiero naturalistico con passerelle di legno e ruscelli.
