Hello friends! Today I show you what a particular excursion I did last week!
Unfortunately the weather in these parts is not ideal for hiking, so I didn't want to risk it and decided to go to the Monte Grappa massif.

Purtroppo il meteo da queste parti non è ottimale per fare escursioni, così non ho voluto rischiare e ho deciso di andare sul massiccio del Monte Grappa.
I repeated an excursion that by now I know well but this time due to the particular weather conditions it was a unique experience.

Ho ripetuto un'escursione che ormai conosco bene ma questa volta a causa delle condizioni meteo particolati è stata un'esperienza unica.
What made the experience of this excursion new was the mist, it moved as if it were alive.

A rendere nuova l'esperienza di questa escursione è stata la foschia, si muoveva come fosse viva.
If at the beginning the sky was blue and visibility was good, it only took a few moments for the mist to distort the landscape making it mysterious, at times gloomy at times it seemed to be on the set of a horror film.

Se all'inizio il cielo era azzurro e la visibilità era buona, bastavano pochi istanti perchè la foschia stravolgesse il paesaggio rendendolo misterioso, a tratti cupo a tratti sembrava di essere nel set di un fil horror.
The first stretch that developed in the woods still allowed a certain visibility but the haze began to become more present.
Interesting that there were no animal noises and we did not meet any other human ... as I said, horror movie situation!

It wasn't cold but in the shaded areas there were frozen puddles and you had to be careful.

This is the monumental beech tree along the trail, it's over 100 years old, very impressive.

A smoky atmosphere, it had something magical and sinister at the same time.

We were going up the Poise valley, and there was incredible humidity, the stone road was all icy, we were forced to walk to the side, on the grass.

Going up the valley we crossed the road which was deserted and we reached path 100 which runs along the line of trenches from the First World War, still well preserved today.

The sun with that haze created exceptional shades of light and color.

If I turned to the east, the sky was cleaner and you could see the blue sky.

I walked on a small ridge and found a nice spot to take a photo that I really like: grass and stones in the foreground, then fog and the tops of some fir trees appear in the background.

Ho camminato su una piccola cresta e ho trovato un bel punto per fare una foto che mi piace molto: in primo piano erba e pietre poi nebbia e sullo sfondo spuntano le cime di alcuni abeti.

Then we gained a few more meters in altitude and an exceptional sunset appeared before us.
The fog radiated by the last light of the sun has given us unique nuances.

Poi abbiamo guadagnato ancora un po' di metri di altitudine e dinanzi a noi si è manifestato un tramonto eccezionale.
La nebbia irradiata dalle ultime luci del sole ci hanno regalato delle sfumature uniche.
To the east the sky was still visible, but it wasn't long before sunset, we had to move!

At a certain point of the path 100 you go down slightly in altitude and slip into a wood... it was exciting to do it with that haze, with the sun going down and with no one nearby.
Those particular weather conditions and the time, made everything more adventurous.

Ad un certo punto del sentiero 100 si scende leggermente di quota e ci si infila in un bosco...era eccitante farlo con con quella foschia, col sole che stava calando e senza nessuno nelle vicinanze.
Quelle particolari condizione meteo e l'orario, hanno reso tutto più avventuroso.
Thanks to the map app I use, I was able to find the right mouthpiece to get back to the car.
I admit that at one point the fog deceived me and if I hadn't had the app I would have made a mistake by continuing instead of taking the correct path that led me to the Camol hut.

Grazie all'app cartografica che uso sono riuscito a trovare l'imboccatura giusta per tornare all'auto.
Ammetto che la nebbia ad un certo punto mi aveva ingannato e se non avessi avuto l'app avrei sbagliato proseguendo invece di prendere il sentiero corretto che mi ha portato alla malga Camol.
Look at that atmosphere! By now the sun had completely gone down and we still had a few minutes of light.

Guardate che atmosfera! Il sole ormai era sceso del tutto e avevamo ancora pochi minuti di luce.
The sun had almost completely set but on the other hand there was the moon to keep us company.

Il sole era quasi tramontato del tutto ma in compenso c'era la luna a farci compagnia.
By now we had reached the main paved road, it was almost there.

Ormai avevamo raggiunto la strada principale asfaltata, mancava poco.
Here is the last stretch of road and we had arrived at the car.
When we got out in the car, visibility was very low, we were forced to keep walking pace.
I trust you that when I find a weather like this I'm not sorry, in fact I'm excited because in this way I have the opportunity to take much more special photos!
Of course, if a fog like this happens to me, in a place that I'm visiting for the first time, I'm a little sorry because I don't have the possibility to see all the potential of the place. However, we must bear in mind that it is also the beauty of the unpredictability of the mountain!

Ecco l'ultimo tratto di strada ed erravamo arrivati all'auto.
Quando siamo scesi con l'auto la visibilità era ridottissima, siamo stati costretti a tenere un'andatura a passo d'uomo.
Vi confido che quando trovo un meteo di questo tipo non sono dispiaciuto, anzi sono eccitato perchè così ho la possibilità di fare foto molto più particolari!
Certo, se mi capita una nebbia come questa, in un posto che visito per la prima volta, un po' mi dispiace perchè non ho la possibilità di vedere tutte le potenzialità del luogo. Tuttavia bisogna tenere in considerazione che è anche il bello dell'imprevedibilità della montagna!
