Hello to all my blog readers!
I would like to share with you the photos I took during my weekend in Puglia, a wonderful surprise from a friend. Since we had an extra-long weekend due to the Liberation Day holiday, a national celebration in Italy on April 25, we took a plane and headed to Puglia, specifically to Polignano a Mare.
Many of you probably already know this place, since it's quite famous as a tourist destination and it's the birthplace of Domenico Modugno.
But to me, it's not only a beautiful place from a scenic perspective but also a very romantic spot. It's certainly a popular destination not only for Italians but also for tourists from all over the world.
I was very lucky with the weather, as it was sunny and quite pleasant, except for one day when it was cloudy all day. This isn't my first visit to this well-known location—in fact, it's one of my favorite spots whenever I'm in Puglia.
I won't bore you with the history of this place—partly because I was terrible at history in school—but I can say it's a fantastic place to relax and, in my opinion, offers great food, with lots of lovely little restaurants where the food is excellent. Plus, these places offer views that I think are unique.
I'm glad that we're heading into summer, a season I absolutely love. I haven't taken my first swim yet, even though some of my friends in Sicily have already done so, because the water temperature and the weather are just perfect.
I really enjoy summer, and you've probably guessed that I prefer places with a beach, as it allows me to wear lighter and more comfortable clothing. In fact, my wardrobe is almost entirely made up of summer clothes.
Unfortunately, I had to work today, but I can't wait for May 1st because it's Labor Day, so I'll have the day off again. I plan to be somewhere and I hope to share some photos from my time in Sicily.
