Hello everyone!
It's been a while since I last wrote, but unfortunately, between university and the job I found to cover my university and housing expenses, I never had time to share photos with you here. Also, I haven't really traveled much lately, and I only just finished my move a few weeks ago.
However, on Valentine's Day, I took a trip to Treviso. I might have already shared something about this city with you in the past— I find it very interesting, and I often go there because my cousin lives there. She’s also Sicilian but has been living there for about twenty years due to work, like many other Sicilians who have emigrated.
I took the opportunity to snap some photos, and I must say, this city is always so beautiful—both during Valentine's Day, when it's decorated with countless hearts throughout the streets, and during the Christmas season, when a beautiful Christmas market takes place.
Whether it's Christmas or any other festivity, they always set up areas where you can eat and even small rides to make children happy.
Anyway, it's always nice to stroll through the streets of this city, which, in my opinion, isn’t that well known in terms of tourism. Although I've been told that mass tourism is starting to take over here as well, I think it's still far from the numbers seen in other Veneto cities.
It's beautiful because, as you can see from the photos, it somewhat resembles Venice with its streets that are similar to Venetian calli. This makes sense since Treviso was under the rule of the Republic of Venice for many years and had a close relationship with Venice, which is reflected in its architecture.
Probably, the only part of the city that I think is not well appreciated is its walls, which are quite imposing. You can see them in some of the photos I took. Similar to other cities I’ve visited, like Bergamo, they seem to be somewhat undervalued.
Anyway, I hope to share more photos and content with you and to be a bit more consistent with posting. Over the next few months, I’ll have fewer university exams, so I should have a little more time to share things here with you.
Have a great weekend, everyone! See you soon, sending you lots of kisses! 💕
