A well preserved Saxon heritage village in Brasov County, Romania with just under 500 locals. King Charles III has played an important role here in promoting the village and sourronding area. On his first visit 1998 to Romania has fallen in love in this part of Transylvania village, he bought 2006 this house in Viscri and was involved in local life and founded the Prince of Wales Foundation, which restored abandoned houses and transformed them into tourist attractions. That's how Viscri turned into a large tourist destination. It is called the Blue House after the blue paint with which its facade was painted, open to the visitors ainnually from April to October.

Here you will find an unspoiled world full of history and beautiful nature. This small Saxon village has charmed the hearts of many tourists from all over the world with its picturesque scenery and its peaceful and charming atmosphere. This house, was built about 1875 and reflects the classic design of a rural Saxon settlement. The original farm had two dwelling houses, annexes, a stable and a vegetable garden.
Fascinating small rooms carefully furnished in their original style and open to all visitors, you feel like you're in a fairy tale. History culture in a peacefuly rural life.
