Hi Hivers!
Photography allows us to immortalize moments that over the years will allow us to recall experiences that activate our senses.
At the time of this publication, my brain automatically remembered the sensations that I had when I visited the beautiful waters of Punta Cana. Dear Hivers, my eyes had NEVER seen such a vibrant, sublime and varied palette of marine colors.
I will never forget that moment when sailing on the high seas, distracted with my camera, the intensity of the turquoise green of the water intercepted (literally) my retina and I automatically had to raise my eyes and sighed: OH MY GOD! A paradisaical spectacle was all around me.
The truth? It is an experience that leaves you speechless, you can’t believe that there is such a beauty of blue hues adorned with incredible natural landscapes.
And not only impacted by that vivid chromatic circle, I learned again that nature sometimes within the havoc can mold wonderful shapes that in the future will serve as an escape route for our entertainment and cultural exchange.
I invite you to get to know a small jewel in the Caribbean called Punta Cana, and how a hurricane made this part one of the country's centers of attraction. If you want to know the exact location of this paradisaical place, here are the pinmapple coordinates: [//]:# (!pinmapple 18.561293 lat -68.387575 long A real earthly paradise with amazing sandbanks shaped by a hurricane d3scr)
About Punta Cana.
Punta Cana is a Caribbean area located in the east of the Dominican Republic; bathed by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, with a total area of 420,000 m². The climate is constant, with average temperatures of 26°C, with a temperature range of about 12 °C, from 20 °C in winter to a maximum of 32 °C between April and November.
It is the place where the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean come together and where there are the most famous beaches of the Dominican Republic, wide and endless, of fine white sand and its beaches have millions of coconut palms, and a coral reef that runs along the coast, calm and transparent waters of a soft blue-green color. The sea is generally rough and the beach sinks very quickly into the sea.
Punta Cana is considered among the 10 best beaches in the world. This beautiful area has a good concentration of beaches with Blue Flag certificates. Blue Flag is an environmental certificate that classifies the best beaches in the world. Punta Cana's beaches of white sands and crystal clear turquoise waters are so beautiful that they seem unreal.
Its beaches and commercial activities.
The hotel offer, is in perfect harmony with the natural environment, is in charge of organizing a great number of sports activities. This hotel network is in charge of satisfying the needs of the vacationing family. The exception is in spring when the hotels are invaded mainly by groups of university students flying in from Canada, the United States and Europe.
Punta Cana is also the ideal destination for golfers, with 11 golf courses located along the strip and facilities for all sports, from sailing to the benefits of some of the best golf courses in the Caribbean and the pleasure of tasting delicious seafood at the seashore. Adopted for years by European tourists, it is home to some of the most renowned resorts in the Caribbean. A UNESCO report recognizes the beaches of Punta Cana and Bavaro as the best in the world.
The Sandbanks.
The following images show the Sand Banks formed on the paradisaical coastline of Punta Cana. This bank was formed during the passage of one of the hurricanes that hit this region in the early 2000s. It is an extensive column of sand with a diameter of no more than 250 m, in the middle of the deep and mysterious crystalline waters of the Caribbean Sea that intersect with the immensity of the Atlantic Ocean. Boats usually stop in this area for visitors to pass through this particular and interesting natural wonder.
It is truly amazing to see how the force of hurricanes sculpted a perfect circumference of sand where you can walk calmly and enjoy the shades of blue that warn us of the marine depth that surrounds us.
My final recommendations:
Visit Punta Cana in low season and preferably in summer so that under the sun's rays you can be eclipsed by this natural beauty without the siege of many tourists and take amazing pictures.
When organizing your trip, ask the hotel for all-inclusive full-day tour packages for excursions around the island, so you can reserve your quotas in advance and at the same time you will have defined the activities you will do during the trip. Most of the tours include transportation in comfortable buses leaving directly from the hotels in this area, lunch in restaurants when it is a full day, accompaniment of a multilingual expert guide and taxes.
Respect the instructions of the tour guides, especially when bathing in the crystalline waters of the beaches because even though they look calm, the marine current is strong and in a careless moment can take you away from the shore or the boat where you are.
Always use sunscreen and sunglasses, because thanks to the white sands of its beaches, solar radiation is much more harmful to our skin and our eyes.
This publication, unlike the previous ones, does not have much narrative because through the images I wanted to transmit you what it is to live this indescribable experience.
