A nice memory, wonderful place, magical, full of peace, full of cold, air that transmits tranquility, that I could live and feel in the lagoon of Mucubají, which is part of the Sierra Nevada National Park, located in the Paramo of the state of Merida where I live. Beautiful tourist place, where you can appreciate nature, perfect creation of God, as are the mountains around it, the trees, in its vegetation form a large part of the frailejones, the climate and the colors that are reflected in the lagoon. It was a great blessing to be there, take a walk through all its spaces and enjoy every minute!
Valuable moments that I will treasure for all my life, grateful to God for allowing me to know, to travel and to live, to be filled with happiness in that place where there is no city noise, where you simply leave the routine, where you concentrate on listening to the sound of nature, its smell, to be in peace, calm, to forget everything and to have smile after smile.
Apart from that, I had the opportunity to walk to the black lagoon, which is about 30 minutes (walking) from the lagoon of mucubají, along a trail and you can also ride horses. Talking makes the way super fast as the minutes go by. Its name is due to the fact that it is a lagoon of almost black color and according to its legend is a bit mysterious, it can darken suddenly, it is surrounded by steep slopes covered by a tree called coloraditos that are reflected in the water. It almost always remains cloudy but being there it was clear with a wonderful landscape view, my eyes were very amazed. On your way you can see the forest, full of plants, pines, small rivers and the landscape in the distance. I invite you to investigate a little more in depth of this lagoon, it is really interesting..
Increíble no? .
As I mentioned before about frailejones, I would like to tell you a little bit about this plant and the great importance they have. They are a big part of the vegetation of the páramo since it is fundamental for its ecosystem, they have a thick trunk, its flowers are yellow, they grow one centimeter each year and its function is to absorb the humidity of the fog through the little hairs that it has in its leaves and it releases it when there is drought through its roots. In short, it produces water! Incredible, isn't it? It can be called the lung of the moor! And not only that, its leaves also have medicinal uses that can help prevent tumors, it is antihypertensive and anti-inflammatory. Syrups can be prepared with its resin for asthma or other diseases of the respiratory tract, prepared in infusion can soothe kidney and lung conditions. Knowing their characteristics and their great importance we must take care of them as well as all nature.
