Parque Jay Blanchard para un día relajante
Hi, I'm back now. It turns out we had a very unusual day. My husband and I went to this park today to relax a bit. It's a fairly large park with lots of places for recreation and it's only 4.9 miles from home.
We discovered this place because someone we communicated with yesterday sent us her location and so we were encouraged to explore.

Es un parque bastante grande con muchos lugares para la recreación y está a solo 4,9 millas de casa.Descubrimos este lugar porque alguien con quien nos comunicamos ayer nos envió su ubicación y así nos animamos a explorar.
Today we woke up early eager to discover a new place here in Orlando. So we turned on the GPS and headed there.
When we arrived we found an empty parking lot and many signs in English warning about wildlife and the rules to follow there. One of them was to stay a safe distance from the shore.
Hoy nos despertamos temprano con ansias de descubrir un nuevo sitio aquí en Orlando. Así que pusimos el GPS y nos dirigimos hasta allí.Al llegar encontramos un parqueo despoblado y muchos carteles en inglés alertando sobre vida salvaje y las normas que se debían seguir allí. Una de ellas era mantenerse a una distancia prudencial de la ribera.
It is located in the east of Orlando, Florida, and has multiple walking trails. Along the river we could also see a wide bike path, the Little Econ Greenway, and we immediately thought: if mi sister were here, we would have to bring her bike in the car.
There is a place for picnics, fishing, of course, and benches to relax and look at the landscape. There is also a lot to do for photographers here. We decided to take some pictures after seeing this beautiful squirrel.
Está situado al este de Orlando, Florida, y tiene múltiples senderos para caminar. A lo largo del río también pudimos ver un carril ancho para bicicletas, el Little Econ Greenway, y enseguida pensamos: si mi hermana estuviera aquí, tendríamos que llevar su bicicleta en el coche.Hay lugares para picnics, pescar, por supuesto, y bancos para relajarse y contemplar el paisaje. It seems that there are also crocodiles, so just in case it is better not to be so close to the water.

But these ducks were swimming very confidently there. We loved watching them. There are many attractions in this park. We must return to explore it thoroughly. While we were there, my husband suggested buying us a fishing rod and some beginner gear. We joked a bit about this and I told him to be careful in his purchases and spending, lest he thinks he is a pro like the old fisherman in Hemingway's novel.
These feathered friends (below) must be the species Gallinula galeata cachinnans, according to this website.

There are many trees and flowers of singular beauty and you can enjoy ample areas of shade as well as sun. Most of the time we were chasing those shy rays because it was a bit cold.

We were thinking that we should go out more often; however, life here is so complicated in relation to work and other obligations that, for example, my husband and I do not have the same days off.
On the one hand it can be beneficial for some things, but in the case of wanting to go out together and enjoy as a family it becomes a problem. He had to request one of his vacation days to be able to come.
So we would have liked my son to come with us today too, but he had important classes and activities at school.

And finally, here we are at Walmart looking for the fishing rod. We are a little overwhelmed by the amount of things there are here to choose from. We'll see how we do with that activity.

This is definitely an attractive place that we recommend if you are passing through Orlando, Florida. I am talking about Jay Blanchard Park, not Walmart, you know. 🤣
For us it was a spectacular trip. Seeing people go there to relax, to exercise, to do yoga, to meditate, to share with family meals that they prepare there or bring from home, or to fish, reminded us that life must be lived. It was an incentive and a reminder that work is necessary and many times because we end up so exhausted we end up wandering around in a routine, in the same places, without giving ourselves the chance for adventure, for new things, for experiencing other things. That is why we must take care to plan time for our recreation.

Este es definitivamente un lugar atractivo que recomendamos si están de paso por Orlando, Florida. Estoy hablando del parque Jay Blanchard, no de Walmart, ya saben. 🤣Para nosotros fue un paseo espectacular. Ver a la gente como va allí a relajarse, a hacer ejercicios, yoga, a meditar, a compartir en familia con comidas que preparan allí o llevan desde casa, o a pescar, nos recordó que la vida hay que vivirla. Fue un incentivo y un recordatorio de que el trabajo es necesario y muchas veces por terminar tan agotados nos quedamos dando vueltas en una rutina, en los mismos lugares, sin darnos el chance de la aventura, lo nuevo, experimentar otras cosas. Por eso debemos ocuparnos de planificar tiempo para nuestro esparcimiento.

Me encantó ese lugar pero más le gustó a tu papá, sobre todo por la pesquería. A mí porque saliste a disfrutar de la naturaleza algo que ambos necesitan, lástima que mi nieto no pudo acompañarlos. Feliz fin de semana hija y repitan esos lindos lugares. 🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️

What a beautiful place. Although it is a small park, the park has a lot of space. The place is incredibly beautiful for entertainment and to make the mind comfortable. It is very nice to immerse yourself in such nature and walk around to calm yourself. It is very good to come to such a recreational place and give yourself time and restore your morale to work.
