Hello dear travelers, I hope you are well ! Today, I propose a visit to the Museum of Modern Art. This one is located in a part of the city where I rarely go and almost exclusively for the museums that are there. In fact, in the same area you can find the Palais de Tokyo dedicated to contemporary art, the Guimet museum for Asian arts, the Quai Branly museum which gathers the old ethnology collections, the Palais Galiera for fashion and some others...
If you are visiting Paris, it is a good idea to spend a whole day in this area and to plan a few visits in the same time.
So here we are in the 16th arrondissement of the city and it's market day on the Avenue du Président Wilson.
From the forecourt of the building designed for the 1937 International Exhibition of Art and Technology, you can see the Eiffel Tower, the Seine and this statue of victory by the sculptor Antoine Bourdelle. But let's start the visit inside...
At the entrance, there is a room dedicated to the painter Matisse. It should also be noted that the visit to the permanent collection is free for all, only the temporary exhibitions are subject to a charge.
Here we find several versions of the painter's "The Dance". A work made from papers moved to create the composition of the painting. That's why we find all these little pin marks.
Here is another version. I think there are two others in the world, including one in the United States...
We are now in the great hall dedicated to the painter couple Sonia and Robert Delaunay. The two painters were the main founders of the Orphist movement, a branch of Cubism and an important avant-garde movement of the early 20th century.

We continue our visit with these two paintings, the first by Van Dongen and the second by the Japanese painter Foujita.
Here, in this little alcove, we find this beautiful Derain, one of my favorites from the "Fauvist" period.
Here we find works by Derain and Vlaminck in particular...
When I'm in a museum, I always like the little details that don't necessarily have anything to do with the art on display but still add to the atmosphere ^^ !
Here are two works by Vuillard, a painter I really appreciate and it is especially the first one that I like because it is the painter Bonnard in his studio, like a kind of "mise en abîme..."
By the way, here are some of Bonnard's works above.

The visit ends, as it often does, in the shop which is full of books. The one above and many others tempt me, but I already have enough books to read at home ^^ !

Bonjour chers voyageurs, j'espère que vous allez bien ! Aujourd'hui, je vous propose une visite au Musée d'Art Moderne. Celui-ci est situé dans une partie de la ville où je ne vais que très rarement et presque exclusivement pour les musées que l'on y trouve. En effet, dans la même aire on retrouve le Palais de Tokyo dédié à l'art contemporain, le musée Guimet des arts asiatiques, celui du Quai Branly réunit les anciennes collections d'ethnologie, le Palais Galiera pour la mode et encore quelques autres...
Si vous êtes de passage à Paris, c'est donc une bonne idée d'aller passer une journée complète dans ce coin et de prévoir quelques visites dans le même espace de temps.
Nous voilà donc dans le 16ème arrondissement de la ville et c'est jour de marché sur l'avenue du président Wilson.
Depuis le parvis du bâtiment conçu dans le cadre de l'Exposition internationale des arts et des techniques de 1937, on peut apercevoir la Tour Eiffel, la Seine et cette statue de victoire du sculpteur Antoine Bourdelle. Mais commençons la visite à l'intérieur...
Dès l'entrée, on peut trouver une salle dédiée au peintre Matisse. À noter aussi que la visite de la collection permanente est gratuite pour tous, seules les expositions temporaires sont payantes.
On retrouve ici plusieurs versions de "La Danse" du peintre. Une oeuvre réalisée à partir de papiers déplacés pour créer la composition du tableau. C'est pourquoi on retrouve toutes ces petites marques d'épingles.
Voici une autre version. Je crois qu'en tout, on doit en trouver deux autres dans le monde, notamment une aux États-Unis...
Nous voici désormais dans la grand hall dédié au couple de peintre Sonia et Robert Delaunay. Les deux peintres sont les principaux fondateurs du mouvement orphiste, branche du cubisme et important mouvement d'avant-garde du début du XXᵉ siècle.
Une vue par la fenêtre du bas-relief qui orne le fronton du musée, un endroit où nous ne sommes pas encore allés.
On continue notre visite avec notamment ces deux toiles, la première de Van Dongen et la seconde du peintre japonais Foujita.
Ici, dans cette petite alcove, on retrouve ce très beau Derain, un de mes préférés de la période "fauviste."

Lorsque je suis dans un musée, j'aime toujours les petits détails qui n'ont pas forcément à voir avec l'art exposé mais qui participent tout de même de l'atmosphère ^^ !
Ici deux oeuvres de Vuillard, un peintre que j'apprécie vraiment et c'est surtout la première que j'aime car il s'agit du peintre Bonnard dans son atelier, comme une sorte de mise en abîme...
D'ailleurs voici justement quelques oeuvres ci-dessus de Bonnard.

La visite se termine comme bien souvent dans la boutique qui regorge de livres. Celui ci-dessus et bien d'autres me tentent, mais j'ai déjà assez de livres à lire chez moi ^^ !

Last time in Paris I stayed 5 days, I was lucky that my neighbor here in Romania lives in a neighborhood on the outskirts of Paris in Sartrouville.
I did very well with public transport, I made a kind of pass including the picture on it (the picture I took in Romania, hehe) for 10 days, it's really not worth driving around Paris.
Yeah, the transports could be great from some part of the outskirts... I hope you'll manage to come by for another visit 🤞 !
France, namely Paris, will forever remain for me the city of love and my favorite city.
I have to say that I am indebted to our friend from Sartrouville who hosted us and who helped us move around Paris, but even so it didn't seem complicated to me to move around Paris.

Les peintres minimalistes : pas trop mon truc mais malgré tout, leur démarche a le mérite de poser des questions sur l'art.
Avec grand plaisir :) Par contre là c'est plutôt l'aile ouest du Musée d'Art Moderne. Oui, je partage ton sentiment, l'art minimaliste, c'est très conceptuel en vérité et dont entre gros guillemets plus pour les "personnes averties"... Mais c'est vrai que c'est donc moins accessibles et parfois aussi, un peu de la blague !

Alors là ton message me fait du bien, non pas que je trouve toute cette réalité réjouissante, loin de là ! Mais plutôt que je partage tout ce que tu dis et les valeurs qui y sont associées ! Des années que je me bats contre leur progressisme à la noix et leur bien-pensante...
