Natürlich haben wir auch noch weitere Ausflüge gemacht. Das gehört beim Reisen in den Urlaub einfach dazu!
Wir haben uns auf die Socken gemacht und die einzige Straße in Fuerteventura bis nach Morrojable genommen.
Wir wollte den Hafen besichtigen. Dort sollte es eine Schildkrötenaufzuchtstation geben. Das wollten wir uns anschauen.
Of course, we also went on other excursions. That's just part of traveling on vacation!
We set off and took the only road in Fuerteventura to Morrojable.
We wanted to visit the harbor. There was supposed to be a turtle breeding station there. That's what we wanted to see.
Der Hinweg war schon sportlich. Wir waren recht früh unterwegs und trotzdem waren es gefühlt schon 27°C. Zum Wandern fast zu warm.
The outward journey was already sporty. We were on the road quite early and yet it felt like 27°C already. Almost too warm for hiking.
Solange wir nicht bergauf laufen mussten war erstmal noch alles gut, aber kurz vor dem Ort Morrojable selber ging es Bergauf.
Ein feuchter Traum - zumindest für mein Tshirt.
Dafür sind wir an einer sehr schönen Kirche vorbeigekommen. Oder einem Kirchturm, das weiß ich nicht so genau.
As long as we didn't have to walk uphill, everything was fine, but shortly before the village of Morrojable itself, it was uphill.
A wet dream - at least for my T-shirt.
Instead, we passed a very beautiful church. Or a church tower, I'm not sure.
Zum Glück durften wir alles, was wir raufgelaufen sind auch wieder runterlaufen. Das hat den Trip etwas erträglicher gemacht. Links uns Rechts waren immer wieder schöne traditionelle spanische Häuser zu sehen. Klassisch spanisch, nichts perfekt, alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Ein unvergleichlich schöner und charmanter Anblick!
Alles irgendwie echt und nichts auf gekünstelt und auf perfekt gemacht.
Fortunately, we were allowed to walk back down everything we walked up. That made the trip a little more bearable. There were always beautiful traditional Spanish houses to the left and right. Classically Spanish, nothing perfect, everything a little dated. An incomparably beautiful and charming sight!
Everything was somehow genuine and nothing artificial or made to look perfect.
Genauso auch der Hafen! Einfach ein kleiner süßer Hafen.
Nicht vollgestopft mit Frachtern. Einige kleine Boote lagen an drei Stegen und ab und an kamen Touristenboote und haben Ausflügler mitgenommen. Aber alles ganz entspannt.
The same goes for the harbor! Just a cute little harbor.
Not crammed with freighters. There were a few small boats moored on three jetties and every now and then tourist boats came and took day trippers away. But everything was very relaxed.
Leider konnten wir keine lokalen Fischer sehen. Das war etwas schade.
Dafür hat ein älterer Mann mit all seiner Routine Fische gefüttert. Und der hat alles mögliche angelockt.
Unter anderem Rochen. In der Spitze waren ca 14 Rochen und zwei Tonnen Fisch vor Ort.
Unfortunately, we couldn't see any local fishermen. That was a bit of a shame.
Instead, an older man was feeding fish with all his routine. And he attracted all sorts of things.
Including rays. At the peak, there were around 14 rays and two tons of fish on site.
Logischerweise lagen die ein oder anderen Abfälle der Fischerei am Rand der Docks, aber es hielt sich in Grenzen. Auch hier würde ich eher sagen, es war sehr Sauber. Und Stimmungstechnisch war es sehr ruhig. Einige Touristen waren vor Ort.
Mancher wollte - wie wir - die Schildkröten betrachten, aber die hatten zu. Spontan die Öffnungszeiten geändert.
Naja, warum nicht. Spanische Gelassenheit! Tut einfach gut.
Naturally, there was some fishing waste on the edge of the docks, but it was limited. Again, I would say it was very clean. And the atmosphere was very quiet. There were a few tourists on site.
Some - like us - wanted to see the turtles, but they were closed. We spontaneously changed the opening hours.
Well, why not. Spanish serenity! It just feels good.
Der Rückweg war wieder etwas spektakulär. Bergauf und Bergrunter. Dafür war die Sicht unbeschreiblich.
Bestes Wetter und eine schöne Aussicht. So darf das schonmal sein!
The way back was again somewhat spectacular. Uphill and downhill. But the view was indescribable.
The best weather and a beautiful view. That's how it should be!
