The past few months were hectic, the drafts that I made have been sitting for a while now. It's either I don't have the time to select and edit photos or my brain is too drained to create any content.
Well, I am here again because I got the time to sit down and create something for my blog. Lately, I have been blessed with several projects and opportunities hence the several breaks from Hive but I always ensure that I that I should take a break for a while and take a short trip or a vacation.
Last week, I went to Dumaguete for a smoothie project which I will share soon but in this blog, I'll share with you the beach trip I did with my friends who I consider my extended family. Good thing my training finished early and I was able to come with them. So, we went to KooKoo's Nest. It is located in Siaton, Negros Oriental. It's an hour or less drive from Dumaguete City. The beach resort has a beautiful cliff and also offers accommodation but we didn't stay there.
When we arrived, we didn't see the beach immediately, I didn't know we have to go down a staircase to get to the resort. It was okay going down but our experience going up was a different story. Well, anyway, we were so lucky to arrive with a high tide because once it's low tide the water can go so far and the surface is rocky.
The restaurant of the resort encourages all guests to book and advance order their food but for us, we weren't able to. We immediately placed our food orders before enjoying the water. The waiting time was quite long but we waited patiently and just enjoy the time talking about almost anything on and off the water.
The sun was bright and we basked ourselves in it. We brought some snorkeling gears and we took turns to see some marine life in the area. Our food arrived one at a time but we still enjoyed it, especially since the view was just amazing.
After our lunch, we went back to the water it was low tide already but it didn't stop us from soaking again. I also made some time to walk by the beach and see the rock formation at both ends of the resort. I also saw the native house by the beautiful cliff and I bet has a wonderful view of the ocean.
A few hours passed and we decided to pack our bags and leave the resort because we don't want to be on the road by night time. It was such an amazing day by the beach with my extended family and knowing that I can always have a family with them is something I am truly grateful for. Have you been to the beach lately? Did you enjoy it? How's the sunburn?
