For the past few months, I have probably explored Negros Oriental more than in Cebu. I have been traveling back in forth to do some business or meet some clients and catch up with friends.
Last March, my friends decided to finally visit Apo Island. Prior to this trip, I visited the island twice already and made some connections with boatmen and the in charge of the office in order to get to the island.
Day prior to our trip I went to their office and booked our trip just to make sure we have a boat for our trip and I don't want to experience the same thing we experienced on my last visit.
We arrived on time and we assisted right away. Our boat was ready. We paid all the fees needed and we hopped onto the boat. After more than 30mins of boat ride we arrived on the beautiful island of Apo. We were guided by the boatman to his cottages.
We were then approached by several men and offered us some water activities. We decided that we will go snorkeling. We organized our stuff, and pull out all the food that needs to be cooked. Good thing our boatman offered to cook for us. Apparently, they have this kind of service which is very convenient for any traveler. We bought fish and veggies. They also cooked the rice for us.
After giving all the instructions, we proceed to get our snorkeling gears. They gave us some rules to follow during snorkeling and the things we need to do while underwater. We don't have any waterproof camera or Go Pro so we weren't able to document our experience. But if you have done snorkeling on Apo Island you will surely agree that its coral reefs and marine life are beautiful and amazing. We saw lots of fish, the famous sea turtle, and colorful coral reefs.
We went back to the shore and took some photos while waiting for our food to be ready, When the food came we were so happy to be eating it by the beach with a beautiful view and sunny day.
We rested after our lunch and we did snorkeling one more time and went even farther from the shore. We also went to the other side of the island where the famous rock formation was located.
We went back to our cottage, rested for a bit then fixed our stuff and got ready for departure. It was a great experience to share with friends. They have been my family every time I go to Dumaguete but they have been a family for me for so long. I will always be grateful for them, for the energy they share with me, and for all our memories together.

Great vibe, great sea, water and the meal. You have had a great trip in Cebu ^_^ Thank you for your sharing.
Actually, this island is located in Negros Oriental. But yeah, everything was amazing in this place, and having great company made it so much better.
Good food, good friends, and a perfect beach are the best combination. It looked like you really enjoyed the stay. Hmmmm. I love the blue water. So great for a tan line. 🏖️
Definitely missing it! Thanks for dropping by!
