The city of Bandung has always been special, considering that this city has been one of the silent witnesses to the journey of the Indonesian nation. From the colonial era to independence, the city of Bandung has left a lot of history of the birth of this country. That is why it is always the best and special in the hearts of the Indonesian people.

Through history, everything is written and becomes a self-reflection. One of the histories of why there is a museum of the Asian-African Conference here, did not just happen. The reason is, on April 18-24, 1955, 10 years after Indonesia's independence, a meeting of representatives of Asian and African countries was held here. The goal was one, to fight for independence, decolonization and cooperation between countries and nations in the country.

Born because of the end of World War II which did not produce anything for the Asian and African nations, even more than that, it was more heated and contradictory, such as independence that had not been completed. The conference was held which finally through the city of Bandung, the important event was held.

This important conference attended by 29 countries finally found an important place so that the conference could be held. Until those who know the city of Bandung, will be famous for the slogan Paris Van Java. The Asian-African Conference Building is on a street named with the same name, bordering the famous Braga Street.

Along Braga Street and Asia Africa Street, there are many relics of independence, in the form of very special buildings. Not a few of these buildings are still used as buildings that function as government offices or are used for the public. The beauty radiates and is different from other modern buildings. Why is it so different?

In my opinion, the buildings along this street function very well from time to time. Even the foundations are better than modern buildings. Why is that? Even the design is more long-lasting and sustainable from time to time. A tall building even though it is only one floor, the windows are made very large and also a sturdy building. The architecture at that time seemed to know the function behind its design.

I once tried to find out why they had to make a building like that. The reason is because it was to adjust to the long summer in Indonesia. So there are many vents that allow air to enter and it makes the building very comfortable even without using air conditioning. Isn't that very visionary?

That afternoon, Jalan Braga was very beautiful, Asia Africa Street too. There were many people busy along the road, some of them even became professional cameramen. I saw someone taking pre-wedding photos here.

There are also many chairs provided along the road. In the afternoon until evening, especially when the weather is very shady and not hot, there will be many people hanging out and playing around this road. Traffic jams are inevitable if you use motorized vehicles, so being a pedestrian is highly recommended.

Bandung is a beautiful city, isn't it?

See you the next time hive friends!
