YOGYAKARTA (1).jpg

Do you see the beauty of the royal palace? It is so beautiful, everyone wants to have a house like the royal palace. One thing is for sure, the royal palace is indeed authentic with aesthetics and glamour. Although the royal palace was built 100 or even 1000 years ago, the royal palace will still look glamorous in its time.

It's simple, right now I am in one of the most beautiful places in the corner of the Yogyakarta royal palace. I can't move on from this city, because there are so many places to visit. For example, the Taman Sari Guesthouse in the Yogyakarta palace. One of the kingdoms that still exists in Indonesia. Although this city is still in Indonesia, they are different, still led by a kingdom and their government system is special.

Pesanggrahan Taman Sari is a bathing place for members of the royal family. This is where they enjoy the beauty of flowing water which is said to come directly from the spring, of course that happened in the past, now everything is practical, water is taken from the ground.

The first time you enter you have to pay for a bracelet which turns out to be an entrance ticket, amounting to 10,000 rupiah. Of course, this is a fairly cheap price as a form of our appreciation for the cleanliness and maintenance of this place. When entering the taman sari, we will be greeted by several guides, they are indeed employed by the palace to explain the history of this place.

The Taman Sari owned by the Yogyakarta Palace has a unique interior. Thick with Javanese traditions that show strength, for example, some carvings on the garden gate that show the face of a god or a picture of great strength, but of course this kingdom is actually basically Muslim.

Entering the taman sari, we can see the water in the pool. So refreshing because it is clean and it is believed that the water here is very holy. Sometimes there are moments when this taman sari is closed, used for ceremonies carried out by the Yogyakarta palace. For example, like cleaning some tools and vehicles, there are even special rituals that must use this place. The taman sari is an important part of the Yogyakarta kingdom.

When I entered the taman sari, there were indeed a lot of visitors who visited even though it was still early in the morning. This proves that this place is indeed a mandatory list for tourist attractions in the city of Yogyakarta, if you like heritage in a place.

Here we can learn about life in a kingdom that was once very glorious. It is even believed that this kingdom supported the Indonesian nation during the colonial era. The king once donated a lot of money and gold to help Indonesia in difficult times, so they were given the nickname 'Special Region' for their services.

Until now, this kingdom still supports almost ¼ of the population of the city of Yogyakarta, as 'Abdi Dalem Keraton Yogyakarta'.

See you the next time hive friends!
