White Crater, Ciwidey – West Java

This earth is too beautiful for us to live in, where everything has been given and bestowed by God for an ideal place for humans. Is there any other place besides earth that can be lived in? I don't know, I haven't found the answer, but I think, this earth is too vast to explore before we die.

My principle is quite simple, the world cannot revolve around me alone, so, I have to go around the earth so that everything is fair. Yes, fair to me. A lover of traveling and enjoying seeing everything in the corners of the earth, without exception. I only need money, mental and energy to do it all.

I didn't realize, in mid-2024, I could go to a place that I think is VERY BEAUTIFUL. There is no beautiful place in West Java to see a very fantastic place, White Crater. You can count how many white craters there are in Indonesia, but they are not as popular as the white crater in West Java. This place is one of the famous spots because of a drama and film when I was 10 years old.

This place is not far from the center of Bandung, it only takes 2 hours by vehicle but without traffic jams. This city is indeed very congested as people say. In my opinion, because the roads are small so that the growth of vehicles is not comparable to the highway. It is quite simple to get here, everything is very clear because there are many traffic signs connecting to this place.

After arriving, we cannot immediately enter the white crater arena. We have to ride an 'ontang anting' like a mini bus that can accommodate 12 people in it. The driver is very fast because he is used to it, the smooth road does not prevent the wheels from turning very quickly. Then finally we arrived at the entrance, the White Crater.

After scanning the barcode from the entrance ticket after paying some money, we were greeted very friendly by the trees and the surrounding nature. The smell of sulfur is already very sharp, which is quite pungent to the nose. I hope if you really can't, then use a thick mask and don't stay too long in the crater. It is enough to make your eyes sore and your nose feel like you have a cold.

There are many places where it is forbidden to stand for too long, but there are also places provided to sit and take beautiful photos of the white crater. It is actually very strange, why do humans want to go to a slightly dangerous place like this. the answer is only one; the undeniable natural beauty and the blue lake in the white crater really has its charm.

So, it is not wrong that there is a saying that beauty is pain. It is often said but this really happens even in nature. We want to see the beauty but have to endure the sting of the strong sulfur, not only that, the aroma is also not very good to inhale.

As seen the hot air because there is warmth coming from the lake, of course, that is typical of the white crater, the water pours hot temperatures and can even boil eggs in an instant. However, the air here is colder than I thought. If you go earlier, you can get super cold dew. It is even advisable to wear thick warm clothes.

Luckily, I came at the best time to enjoy the white crater at that time. Coming at 8 am, it turned out that many people visited here, especially local tourists and even foreign tourists, such as the Malaysian people I met when buying tickets at the ticket counter.

Nature always provides very beautiful things for humans.

See you the next time hive friends!
