*Hello, everyone in this community, nice to meet you. I just joined this community, previously I was looking for a community on Hive that shares travel activities and finally I was recommended to this community. Even for creating an account on this platform, I'm still a beginner.
Last weekend I went on a trip to the forest to exercise and relieve stress from my routine. I haven't done this activity in a long time. This forest is one of the forests in North Sumatra, Indonesia. Rainforests with fairly dense vegetation, therefore a variety of animals and plants can live in this nature. One of my companions on the trip was the blood-sucking "Pacat" as we said the animal's name. I don't know what it's called in your place :D maybe the blood-sucking leech but it's small in size. These animals are very much found in the humid bushes where we live, especially during the rainy season as well.
On this trip, apart from the blood-sucker being a friend, I was accompanied by several friends who also wanted to go up to one of the mountains.
Before heading to this mountain we passed villages, rivers, and rice fields of new residents to the foot of this mountain and entered the forest. The river that is passed through has 2 sources of springs, one hot water because it contains sulfur and another regular water flow from mountain springs. very spoil the eyes and soul when going through this. unfortunately, my cellphone camera is not good when capturing it.
Around the river there is one of the last villages before the forest which has a friendly population with the majority working as farmers. This village is located at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level. Then from this village to the top of about 3.5 Kilometers with an elevation of about 800 meters. So, we traveled from the village to the summit about 2 hours drive.
We also entered the forest on a journey, several animals such as monkeys, hornbills, eagles, insects, and others accompanied us on the trip including the bloodsucker. every break on the trip I don't forget to check my feet to see this animal, and it turns out I found it on my feet like in the video.
Up to the top, well this mountain is not very high but has a triangulation like this photo.
Sorry, I don't have a lot of photos or videos of the trip because my old cell phone gets low quickly in cold temperatures. haha
That was my journey last week. In terms of physical fitness and psychological health by blending into nature. Thank you for wanting to read my messy writing. hehe Greetings to all of you wherever you are, I hope you will continue to be given health and fitness so that you can carry out activities and travel smoothly, of course. see yeah.

Wow, that's very strong brother. I've never seen one of those in real life, how scary hahaha.....
Hiking, nature is very good for clearing the mind, being calm and recharging batteries BUT it has its respect stuff.
Greetings and blessings my friend!
yeah I really enjoyed this trip, including when my blood was sucked haha
it feels a little itchy on the suctioned area, and everything feels after this climb but still pays off especially in the soul. Thank you my friend for reading this post. :)
