RE: A Day in Burano, Venetian Lagoon, Italy

Ah! Nice to know.

I say this because I am surrounded by Italian friends :) Very close friends. So with all due respect, I can tell you that Italians are very opinionated :) Just like us Indians, and we both like to talk with our hands (perhaps the whole body!).

So when I mentioned my Italian friends that I am going to Venice and only Venice for the week and with kids, they all had many things to say! They say it strongly! Bless them! That is the only way to say, say it strong or don't say it at all!

They said, Venice is too small to be there for a week.

They were right about the size of course.

But I am having a time of my life here! I wish I have been here when I was 30 years younger. I agree with you 100% that it is an incredible place.

I will stick it to my friends, Pier Luigi (from Lake Como) and Raffa (from Ferrara)! :)

Sort:

yes it's true, Venice is quite small, but there are so many things to see and, often, there is no need to see anything, you can simply walk randomly and you will find yourself in front of some small magical corner that you had not seen before.
Or some bar where you can drink wine and eat some cicchetto with "Baccalà"

But watch out for the pigeons, they are real bastards, last time one shit on my head!

you are so right about magical corners!

I can write about these corners for hours. The city is so beautiful it almost makes me cry, tears of joy!

like this corner for example!
