Castle of Van and my Opinions - in Van, Turkiye

Beginning

Hello Dear Worldmappin Page Friends;

How are you, I hope everyone is well. How much can we travel in our lives, where can we go often? Most of us are trying to visit the places we can visit by taking advantage of the few opportunities we have in the working world that life has made necessary. I wanted to share my impressions about Van Castle that I visited yesterday. Instead of boring you by telling you about the historical and functional aspects of the places I visit in most of my posts, I find it healthier to share my feelings through my own impressions. Because there is a situation like this; when I share the places we visit, those who see my name and are curious about that place can get the information they want from the internet. But isn't what we feel important?

When

Van; is a city located in the easternmost part of Turkey and borders Iran. As you know, the Middle East and Mesopotamia are regions where many people have set foot throughout history. Naturally, many historical structures or relics belonging to people can be found in these regions. If you look at my previous Van Museum posts, you can see how old they are by looking at the objects left by the communities that lived in Van throughout history. We are the last ones living in these periods right now.

My Feelings

While walking around here, it creates a strange feeling to think that other people (perhaps some of my ancestors) used to walk around here, even in very old times. I tried to feel the traces of my ancestors with the photographs I took while walking around the back slope of Van Castle. Not everything is simple or fixed as it is described in sadaçexe history books. History records events and generally known leading figures. But what about other people? Were they ordinary people who were never mentioned because they did not have enough opportunities to achieve certain things? If there is such a concept as the definition of "ordinary people", then I am also an ordinary person of this period. History will record me in this way. I am proud of this, because I would rather stand by ordinary people than on the side of arrogant leaders.

Maybe

To wander in the old lands.. And hundreds of years from now (if a meteorite does not hit the world and destroy it), what will others feel when they visit the places we live in? Maybe some robots, mostly emotionless and only available for research, will be wandering in our cities, which we now call metropolitan cities.

Thanks

Although I tried to share my feelings briefly, I tried to convey my feelings and thoughts about these lands I visited as much as I could.

I would like to thank #Hive and #Ecency platforms for creating such a platform and providing us with the opportunity to share.

Also, I would like to thank #Worldmappin page, which allowed us to make the most colorful and valuable shares on the bj platform.

All photos were taken by me. Realme 13 Pro.

Let's continue sharing together. :)

I really enjoyed reading about your visit to Van Castle. I love how you focus on the emotions and personal reflections rather than just the historical facts. It’s fascinating to think about the countless people who’ve walked in those same places throughout history, and your perspective on 'ordinary people' really resonated with me. Thank you for sharing this heartfelt experience! 😊 ✨
