So it was a Sunday afternoon, my siblings and I were just chilling and watching a documentary on Mount Everest. The documentary was so beautiful we immediately decided to go to the mountains, the Himalayas but in Himachal Pradesh. Malana is not as tall as mount Everest but it's close to 8000 ft. We decided to book our flight tickets and leave the next morning.
Hahhahah, yeah that's the most spontaneous I've been in a very long time. BEST DECISION EVER.
That's my sister, filled with mixed emotions cause this is her first time climbing a mountain. So we take our flight and reach Kasol which is like a base for almost all tourists. It's like a base point to start a trek or travel to other parts of the mountains. We stayed the night there and decided to go to Malana the next morning.
Now, about MALANA. Malana is the OLDEST DEMOCRACY in the world. They are not ruled by the government, even TODAY. It's a small village consisting about 300 people and they make their own rules and assign leaders from the village to set new rules. It's located in Himachal Pradesh, India. It's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been too. I'm gonna stop boring you guys with words and let all the images do the talking.
The above is Kasol, the base to go anywhere in the mountains. They have different treks and routes to all the magical places in Himachal Pradesh. If you plan to visit India, do visit this place. Below are the images of Malana.
