Auli is a ski resort located in the Himalayan hills in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. In Garhwali, Auli is called Auli Bugyal i.e. "grassland".
It is situated at an altitude of 2500 meters (8200 ft) to 3050 meters (10,010 ft) above sea level. Auli situated in Chamoli is also called the heaven of Uttarakhand.
The beauty of nature can be felt closely from this place. The beautiful views here work to attract. The snow covered peaks look very beautiful here.
Their altitude is around 23,000 feet and due to the abundance of cedar trees found here, their aroma can be felt in the cool and fresh air.
Auli can be reached from Joshimath via road or ropeway. From here, a panoramic view of huge mountain peaks like Nanda Devi, Kamet and Dunagiri is visible.

Auli can be visited throughout the year. Most tourists visit between November and February when snow skiing is at its peak and Auli's weather is cool.
