‎Jageshwardham Temple...🌼

in Worldmappin4 months ago (edited)

‎Jageshwardham temple of Lord Shiva is considered one of the Jyotirlingas. This temple is about 2500 years old. The temple is also mentioned in mythological stories like Shiva Purana, Linga Purana and Skanda Purana etc. The inscriptions, carvings and sculptures in the temple are a treasure trove.

‎Almora is also known as the cultural city of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. Almora district has many mythological and historical temples which are important from religious point of view. The legendary Jageshwar Dham is included among the famous temples of the world. The name of Jageshwar is recorded in history for the group of temples and Jyotirlingas etc.

‎According to belief, Lord Shiva and the Saptarishis started their penance here. Shiva Linga started being worshiped from here. A special thing about this temple is that if you look at it carefully, its structure looks exactly like the Kedarnath temple. There are about 124 such small temples inside this temple which give an introduction to Jageshwar Dham.

‎Our country India is a collection of many temples and religious places where various temples are worshiped with great devotion. Every temple holds a special significance with some new feature in itself and every temple has some special feature or mystery which attracts the devotees towards itself.

‎Jageshwar Dham is the abode of Shiva in the form of Jageshwar or Nagesh in the forest area of Uttaranchal. The entire city here is dedicated to Shiva temples. The tall cedar trees here look really beautiful and are also seen colored in dark green color. Himalayan state Uttarakhand is very beautiful And yet it attracts fewer tourists than its more popular sister, Himachal Pradesh. While destinations like Rishikesh, Nainital and Mussoorie have always been in the headlines, there are still treasures to be discovered in the state.

‎Surrounded by deodar forest on all sides, this is a group of 100 temples which is very close to Almora. These temples are amazing places to see and so the whole atmosphere is worth seeing. If you are interested in architecture, religion or history then the inscriptions, carvings and sculptures of Jageshwar are a treasure trove. This beautiful temple site of Uttarakhand will truly surprise you with its features. This place is also known as Jageshwar Valley Temple, these are dated between 7th and 12th century. Some temples here are 1400 years old. Many new temples have also developed in this area,‎Whose total number is around 200. These temples are situated at an altitude of 1870 meters, and are situated in the valley of the Jataganga River. Most of the temples here follow the Naga style of architecture...
