Devi temples are established all around on the high peaks of Almora, which was the capital of a few dynasty kings of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. One such historical temple is Vimalkot Shakti Peeth near Dhaulchina town, 36 km from the district headquarters, which is situated in the middle of a cone shaped hill. Devotees have unwavering faith in the mother who is called the goddess of justice.
It is said that whoever prays for justice with a true heart in this temple, Mother Goddess listens to his cry and gives justice. A fair is organized in this temple by the temple committee on the first day of the year. People come to this temple from far and wide with their wishes. It is believed that Mother Goddess fulfills everyone's wishes.
Mata Vimalakot Shaktipeeth temple is situated on the top of the hill. The long range of Himalayas is also visible from here. This temple is surrounded by forests of evergreen species like Oak, Burans, Deodar, Kaphal, Surai etc. All this attracts people to come here.
Situated at an altitude of eight thousand feet, this temple complex also offers spiritual places like Nanda Devi, Trishul, Chaukhamba, Panchachuli, Neelkanth, Nanda Dhuri, Nanda Khat, Dhaulgiri, Pindari Glacier, Chaukodi, Kasardevi, Nainapeak, Vriddha. Jageshwar, Binsar, Devidhura. there are. Due to which people reach here in large numbers.
This temple is one of the most beautiful and least sacred places of Dhaulchina. The view is amazing and with 360 view of the mountains it feels like we are in heaven and the view of the Himalayas adds to the glory of this temple...
