Greetings fellow travelers, the most beautiful and colorful month of the year has already begun, the month of December, one of my favorite months, I wish that God's blessings abound in every home bringing love, peace, joy, happiness and prosperity; I am very happy to share my visit to the Bolivar Square in the city of Cumana, which is an important meeting point and reference of the entity, is located in the historic center near the Governor, the house of Andres Eloy Blanco and other prominent colonial buildings in the city, the square has concrete benches, gardens, palm trees and large trees that provide shade, In the center is the sculpture of Simon Bolivar, which rests on a concrete pedestal covered with marble, around it in the form of a semi-arch several flagpoles where the flags of the countries that freed the Venezuelan hero born in Caracas, capital of the country, the Liberator is standing with his sword in his right hand.
Saludos amigos viajeros, ya inició el mes más hermoso y colorido del año, el mes de diciembre uno de mis meses favorito, deseo que las bendiciones de Dios abunden en cada hogar trayendo amor, paz, alegría felicidad y prosperidad; me siento muy feliz de compartir mi visita a la plaza Bolívar de la ciudad de Cumaná, la cual la es un importante punto de encuentro y referencia de la entidad, se ubica en el casco histórico cerca de la Gobernación, la casa de Andrés Eloy Blanco y otras destacadas construcciones coloniales de la ciudad, la plaza cuenta con bancos de concreto, jardines, palmeras y grandes árboles que proporcionan sombra y brisa, en el centro se encuentra la escultura de Simón Bolívar, que descansa en un pedestal de concreto recubierto con mármol, alrededor de ella en forma de semi arco varias astas donde se ubican las banderas de los países que libertó el prócer Venezolano nacido en Caracas, capital del país, el Libertador está de pie y con la espada en la mano derecha.

During my visit that day I was able to observe the beautiful Christmas decorations that were placed in the square; little tree, reindeer, spheres, lights on the trees and posts, I was also able to take several photos and chat with the gardener, who explained to me that the best time to appreciate the lights was from 6:30 pm, I thanked him and left with the promise of returning during the days at night.
En la temporada navideña la plaza es bellamente decorada y frecuentada por residentes y visitantes, igualmente durante todo el año, solo que en Navidad se incrementan las visitas y paseos familiares, como ya lo mencioné, es un punto importante de encuentro y referencia, ya que, desde allí tienes acceso al centro de la ciudad y al castillo San Antonio de la Eminencia, una importante construcción de la ciudad que data de la época colonial, durante mi visita en el día pude observar los hermosos adornos navideños que colocaron en la plaza; arbolito, renos, esferas, luces en los árboles y postes, también pude tomar varias fotos y conversar con el jardinero, quien me explicó que la mejor hora para apreciar la luces era a partir de las 6:30 pm, le agradecí y me fui con la promesa de volver en el transcurso de los días en horas nocturnas.

Una frase muy común dice : “Lo prometido es deuda”, así que volví nuevamente a la plaza pero en horas nocturnas y me encantó ver luces en los postes en forma de lluvia, el túnel con luces de variados colores y mucho más, en la parte delantera del túnel justo cuando avanzas desde la plaza Pichincha hasta la plaza Bolívar se puede leer el número 2025, está hecho en hierro y forrado con luces blancas, el túnel tiene hermosos colores y es ideal para hacer linda fotografías de la Navidad, por los alrededores hay esferas, renos, árboles en esferas y un gran oso que te da la bienvenida a la plaza Bolívar, el oso tiene forma de arco o puerta cuadrada, la vista en la noche es totalmente diferente, las luces agregan color y brillo a la plaza y se ve espectacular el arbolito, pensé que tenía variados colores y resultaron ser blancas las cuales por cierto se ven muy bien y resaltan, además como es alto se puede ver desde lejos la luz del arbolito, también las esferas tienen luces de color rojo y algunas combinan amarillo y blanco.
On few occasions I have been able to visit the square at night and this time the opportunity arose and I made the most of it, I was able to take several photos, despite it being a night time the square was very busy, there were families, friends and many children with their parents taking photos and sharing under the beautiful and colorful Christmas lights that Plaza Bolívar offers, visiting it was very exciting because I was finally able to see the lights on at night, it is really nice to witness how these colorful decorations beautify the plaza and offer a nice atmosphere for the family to enjoy and share, I sat on the benches for a while with my son, we watched, we walked and then we returned home, we liked the decorations and we hope to return soon to explore Plaza Pichincha which is on the other side of the road, Christmas is definitely a time of color, celebration, decorations, lights and brightness that reminds us of the birth of Jesus and the family dinner that we traditionally have in my country on December 24 and December 31 to say goodbye to the year, in them there is no shortage of famous ones and delicious hallacas, a typical dish of this time of year.
En pocas ocasiones he podido visitar la plaza en horas nocturnas y esta vez se dio la oportunidad y la aproveché al máximo, pude tomar varias fotos, a pesar de ser una hora nocturna la plaza estaba muy concurrida, habían familias, amigos y muchos niños con sus padres tomándose fotos y compartiendo bajo las hermosas y coloridas luces navideñas que ofrece la plaza Bolívar, visitarla fue muy emocionante porque finalmente pude ver las luces encendidas en la noche, es realmente lindo presenciar cómo estas coloridas decoraciones embellecen la plaza y ofrecen un lindo ambiente para que la familia disfrute y comparta, me senté un rato en los bancos con mi hijo, observamos, caminamos y luego volvimos a casa, nos gustaron las decoraciones y esperamos volver pronto para explorar la plaza Pichincha que queda al otro lado de la carretera, definitivamente la Navidad es una época de color, celebración, decoraciones, luces y brillo que nos recuerda el nacimiento de Jesús y la cena familiar que por tradición hacemos en mí país el 24 de diciembre y el 31 de diciembre para despedir el año, en ellas no faltan las famosas y deliciosas hallacas, un platillo típico de esta época del año.
