A visit to paradise in the north of Ibiz: Portinatx
Hello dear friends of Hive! Today I will take you for a walk to PORTINATX! To get there from Eivissa, that is, from the center of town, you need to take a bus, go by cab or by car. Of course I went on the L20, the bus that connects the south with the north of the island.
The trip is quite fast and the scenery is beautiful. In addition, the bus is very new and comfortable, so there is no problem when choosing this means of transportation.

A pleasant surprise
When I arrived in PORTINATX, I didn't know what to expect. The comments I had received were that the north of Ibiza is "very beautiful", but no opinion seemed to be out of the ordinary.
How impressive how everything is relative, isn't it? Well, I arrived in this area and first I fell in love with the fact that I had to go down to the sea. In addition, I was already fascinated by the green and lush landscapes that I had encountered on the way.
As soon as I got closer to the clear turquoise water that could be seen from the height, my heart was jumping more and more with happiness: PORTINATX had made me fall in love.
Las Calas of Portinatx
Very close to this beach there is a cove called Xarraca, but I did not manage to get there, as I was on foot.
However, I got to know the Cala S'Arenal Petite and S'Arenal Grand, being the second one the one I liked the most of the two.
The place was full of tourists, among whom I heard many Italians, but there was also a very relaxed, quiet and peaceful atmosphere.
As I arrived in the morning, I was able to enjoy the water, where I saw quite big fish swimming happily around.
I sunbathed a bit on the sand, white and soft like nowhere else in Ibiza, and then went exploring.
On the map I had seen a tower that had caught my attention, so I was ready to head for it.
The PORTINATX Tower was about a 20 minute walk from where I was, a fairly accessible time, so I didn't hesitate for a second to go.
The path was easy although uphill and it was hot, but this did not stop me and I continued until I got there.
It was a small but striking tower, in an otherwise quiet place, where cicadas sang placidly.
A healthy lunch with a beer, hehe
After returning from De la Torre and taking pictures for Hive, I decided to have some lunch in one of those bars, if I could find a place.
Luckily there was one that had a table right in front of S'Arenal Petite beach, a little masterpiece of nature.
I stayed there and ate a chicken supreme with salad and a beer to go with it.
To my surprise, that lunch was under €18,00, which is somewhat affordable for the type of food, in Ibiza, especially in this beautiful area and sitting right in front of the sea.
Portinatx is a sector of the island that should not be missed. It is necessary to know it because it offers a really different panorama.
The fact that it is also connected by public transport, makes it a must on a visit to this area of the Balearic Islands.
If you think about it, the cost is around €20 per person in case you want to eat in a restaurant, and it would be cheaper if you do your shopping in a supermarket.
Next I say goodbye with this piña colada that I decided to try before leaving this part of the island, and with this beautiful landscape that I had in front of me.
