Explore the beauty and crowded city center in Tel Aviv!

Hello to the Have You Been Here Community and to the entire Hive ecosystem!! I'm here, once again, and this time is to take you with me to visit the center of the Israeli capital: Tel Aviv.

A few days ago, I had a free day, and I decided to go to the center. I always tend to go to nature, but I also love to visit EVERYTHING where I am, so the city center was a MUST for me.

My day started close to Roger's hostel, which is the place where I am living right now. I walked to a center in the Neve Tzedek neighborhood to exchange money, and after that, I started my way to the Boulevard Rothschild.

Neve Tzedek

This is a very fancy neighborhood that is cited in the middle of the Old Port of Tel Aviv, and the city of Jaffa. Neve Tzedek is a residential place, with some areas for shopping, and nice coffee shops and restaurants.

Boulevard Rothschild

It began being very commonplace, but anyway it was calling my attention because everything was new, and the place was full of Hebrew signs, like everywhere, more than I see around the place where I'm staying.

This boulevard has stores everywhere, people everywhere, and fun energy.

What I did is to walk through this boulevard to King George street, which a friend recommended me to visit, and it was the best idea! The last block of the boulevard had a beautiful garden, and at the end of this path, its name is: Antonietta and Leon Feffer Garden.

Once you finish the Boulevard, you have to walk 2 or 3 blocks, until you arrive at Kings George street, and once there be ready! Because this is huge!!

Despite Tel Aviv having a different urban nucleus because is a very big city, this part is the typical center, full of cars, signs, sales in different stores, restaurants, bars, buses, sculptures, paintings, and noise, a lot of noise!

Tel Aviv is the MOST EXPENSIVE CITY IN THE WORLD, yes statically, is like this, but in this part of the city, you can find low prices. For example, in Neve Tzedek, a Falafel costs 26-30 shekels; here I found it in 13 shekels, and it was much better quality.

Who was King George?

It was the one who was ruling once, from the United Kingdom, I believe that at that moment it was Palestina this land. Before, this street had another name: Carmel (which is a very common name here!), but then it changed.

After did, I put the name Hazafon Hachadash on Google Maps, and I started to walk in that direction.

To be honest, it just called my attention because it looked enormous on the map, but it was a place under construction, and I couldn't see so much. In the end, it's an important place in one of the neighbors of the city.

This walk took me almost all the sunlight day, so by 5:30 pm, when the sunset arrives, I was in Hayarkon Park. I'm not gonna share many pictures about that today, because is a lot, and is not the focus of this post, so I'll go back to the center.

After the sunset, I managed the way to arrive at Ramat Gan, a very famous neighborhood in Tel Aviv City. I wanted to check if one 2nd hand store was good as one of my colleagues told me, but I didn't like too much what I saw, so I went back to the hostel, and I decided to walk, to get to know better Tel Aviv.

When I was walking, I discovered another huge street, but it was late to start exploring it, so I'll go back soon there, but what I did, was eat my dinner in that place, it was a falafel, that cost 13 shekels (4 euros more or less).

This is a typical Israeli-Arabic place where you can buy Falafel or Shawarma. They have this thing in the door for washing your hands.

Then, I continue walking, and I went crazy with the buildings and the lights there. I was so amazed, that as soon as I arrived at the hostel, I wrote a post about it! You can read it here.

Here I'll share some other pictures about these buildngs and how the city looks at night.
