Hello travelers 👋
With this post of mine I want to tell you about our trip to Italy and more precisely to Bari. 11/11 was my birthday and so my wife and I had decided to enjoy a weekend in Bari.. We traveled on Friday 10/11 at noon at 14:20 local time, arrived in Bari and arrived home on Sunday 12/11 at 20:00 o'clock, we were already home. For the first time we traveled just the two of us, without our daughter who will soon be 6 years old.. Before it was just the two of us we also visited many destinations in Europe..But this was my wife's first flight and that's why we decided to visit a nearby destination to see that it's okay and then we will travel with our daughter by plane. Otherwise, we travel a lot with our car this year, the three of us visited Krakow, Bratislava and Lefkada island..so we can't complain about not traveling
But Anyway on Saturday 11.11 n my birthday we spent almost the whole day around the center of Bari visiting the coast, the old and the new town but that's why I will tell you in my next post, this one will only be related to the white town of Alberobello which we visited the last day of our stay in Italy on Sunday, actually the town is located about 60 km or about 1 hour from Bari..
For people who haven't heard of this town, you'll see from the pictures why it's called that, but apart from the white houses, the houses themselves are also special, as far as I understand they're called "trulli" some people say about them that they are the miracle of the architecture of Italy..As far as we could see, most of them had symbols painted on them, which a little later we saw on a board that they were divided into several sections..; further down in the photos you can pay attention to the sign
we entered one where they sold souvenirs and I managed to photograph it from the inside as well
Unfortunately for us, we saw that the forecast for Sunday was not very good, but the good thing was that they let it rain only when we were about to leave Italy, unfortunately they didn't know, it rained already in the morning on the way to Alberobello, we were a little worried but there was nothing we could do and we continued on our way
when we arrived it was still raining, but it quickly stopped raining and the weather improved, the sun even appeared and the photos became even more colorful and beautiful
here we are as happy and in love as 12 years ago, even more so because we also created a unique creature, our daughter Raya
here you can clearly see the symbols on the white houses - Trulli
The streets were full of people from all over the world to see this architectural wonder, we heard Polish, English and German, of course, and met two families from Bulgaria
here you can take a look at the different symbols and what they represent
This was from me, our impressions were great from this unique place, I hope I managed to convey at least a little the mood and beauty of this place with our photos
It looks a lovely place to visit. I love the shops and street style, very unique! It looks like you had a great trip.
I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project which will be highlighted in the next post!
Ja, der Stil ist einzigartig und die Geschäfte und Cafés in den Straßen sind sehr gemütlich. Wir hatten dieses Wochenende eine tolle Zeit, vielen Dank für die Unterstützung
Klingt super! 💪👍
What a wonderful way to celebrate your birthday in Bari and explore the enchanting town of Alberobello! Your post beautifully combines personal reflections with stunning visuals, providing readers with a glimpse into your special trip.
Thank you very much for the nice comment, yes, that was the purpose of telling what we experienced, not writing dry stories and information about Alberobello, which anyone can find on the internet.. This was a real experience, our thoughts, our story.. Thank you again for the nice comment
What a beautiful place! I love Italy and try to go there a few times every year 😍 Congratulations on the first flight of your wife! 😊 How did she like it?
yes, it's really a very beautiful country, this is the first location we visit, but it certainly won't be the last 😊 The flight was good, we will start flying with the whole family soon 😊
Wow, interesting place to visit 😃 Thanks for sharing 😃
yes really interesting place, thanks for the comment
Italy, the ancient country. Looking forward to visit there one day
there is a lot to see
Уникално място. Все едно е излязло от някоя приказка.
да ...много ни хареса ,оказа се че доста наши познати са ходили там...изглежда е доста известна забележителност
The place is too good to view. Houses look unique. The city looks clean. As Houses are painted in white, the place eventually glows.
Once a while when the two of you take time together, the beauty of the place grows along with you.
thank you very much for the kind words, yes, maybe the white color gave this appearance of cleanliness and freshness, but it was really clean and well maintained
Italy, one of the countries i wish to visit. !PGM
And for us it was our first visit to Italy, if we don't count the transit we went through when we traveled to France by bus, our general impressions are great
It must have been amazing. I hope you had a great time. Wishing you more travels. Please share photos when you do. All the best. !PGM
