Ahh I was caught up with a lot of work in Chennai so I didn't really have time to get this post up back in September plus I was way to worn out to write such a long post, but now that my schedule have freed up a bit here's the final post about by Kick Ass Thailand Itinerary which covers 2 day's in Phuket and 1 final day in Bangkok.
Day 7 & 8 In Phuket, Day 9 in Bangkok
We had a flight to Phuket from Chiang Mai at 12:00 PM so we decided to wake up late today so we could have more energy for later on in the day. I woke up at 9 AM instead of 5 AM 🤣
We skipped breakfast as we planned on having brunch once we reached Phuket. We took a Grab Taxi as usual and applied the Airport Discount Code on the app and got a good 30% off. Me being me couldn't control my hunger goes and buys a Cold Chicken Sandwich and a Jack Daniels Cola 😂
We reached Phuket by 2pm and took the Airport Bus to the city which was super far away, Grab would have cost us 750 THB but the Airport Bus charges only 100 THB per person which is pretty affordable and convenient as well. The bus is air conditioned BTW.
To our good luck the bus dropped us pretty close by to the Hostel we were staying in, took us 5 minutes by walk to get to the Hostel. We would be staying at Book A Bed Poshtel for the next 2 days of our trip.
We checked into our room and quickly freshened up and went down to One Chun Cafe & Restaurant which is Michelin Bib Gourmand Certified. The interiors were really rustic and old school of sorts, really creative retro decor with brick walls that are covered with old clocks, vintage radios, old television sets from the 60's and even an old cinema camera.
They serve Southern Thai Cuisine and have great food, they are reasonably priced, A super fun atmosphere, excellent service and they are set up in a really good location as well. We had a pretty amazing lunch and I was so satisfied with the food here.
This One Particular Dish Had My Heart,
Traditional Phuket Style Steamed Pork Belly With Pepper & Garlic

IT WAS TOO FUCKING GOOD!

Post lunch we got a grab taxi to head over to Khao Rang Viewpoint to enjoy the sunset and it was just so peaceful at this place. You even had a group playing some really subtle live music as the sun sets.

We spent about an hour in this place and then caught a taxi to Old Town Phuket, there we decided to visit the Sunday Walking Street Market which happened to be super crowded, the market was filled with people, and so many food vendors and stalls, you had various people playing live music some were performing a dance off and more. The entire street was just filled with life.
I don’t think i've ever witnessed an array of such amazing live music, Man the energy of the people here is just extraordinary.
@foodiechique worst nightmare would be getting lost in a such a crowd 🤣 and you know what the worst part was we barely had any money to get some shopping done which really sucked.
Took us about 2-3 hours to cover the entire stretch and I took just a handful of things from here. I really wish we had some amount of money that time which we could withdraw because the things that were up for grabs were just so damn beautiful.
I mean just look at that amazing collection of street food, The sausages were to die for and the mochi ice creams were really yumm!!
We ended up going to 7/11 for the N'th time, post the weekend market walk we grabbed some dinner and soju and went right back to the hostel and chilled by the pool while we ate our sandwiches and smoked the Thai Sticks that we picked up from Leaf Cannabis Cafe back in Bangkok.
We called it a night quite early as the next day we booked a Day Tour package of some great Islands around Phuket from Sri Thara Marine.
So we got to know about this package from an airport counter as we reached Phuket, there was a travel agent counter and we picked up the necessary details from there and they connected us with Sri Thara marine for the this tour.
Hotel transfers are included in the package and they were scheduled to pick us up in the morning at 10:00 AM. We woke up at 7 AM and got some breakfast done we some early morning drinking 😂 after all we're on vacation so why the fuck not!
We were picked up from the hostel and were taken to the pier which took us about 45 minutes to get there, Once we arrived at Ao Por Pier we met are guide Selena who gave us further instructions about the day. It was a rainy day as well so I decided to pick up a waterproof phone pouch as well (That Phone Pouch Was A Fucking Live Saver For What Was About To Come 🤣)
We hopped into a traveller pick up which took us across the jetty to the massive motor boat that was waiting for us. We boarded the boat and we were now on our way to the first Island which was Na Ka Island, The boat stopped a bit away from the shore and they canoed us to the Island. The first thing my eyes landed upon were the Yamaha Wave Runner Jet skis 😂
The best part was that they let you ride it yourself and i was extremely stoked about it, In India someone would ride behind you 🙂 which was a waste of money. I've had prior experience in riding Jet Skis and Motor boats as well abroad thanks to my Dad who taught me all of the fun stuffs 😂 They charged us about 1500 THB for an hours ride. I took turns taking both adil and @foodiechique in the middle of the ocean and giving them the scare of their lives by dumping them into the ocean 🤣 it was just an incredible experience. We had life jackets on cause neither of us knew to swim 😂 and had I not bought the waterproof phone cover my phone would have been dead by now 🥲
It's been almost 12 years since I've ridden one and it was just an epic exhilarating moment 😭. It was raining non stop as well which made the experience even better. Later we chilled on the beach and went back to the boat and we were off to the next island which took us about 30-40 minutes to reach.
During this time we had a buffet lunch which was served on board, the food was okayish, it wasn't great but it was decent. Post lunch i made it to the bow of the ship and just relaxed there for a bit and people behind me followed suit and crowded up the place 😑 we met a couple of Indians on board as well.
45 minutes later we reach another bunch of islands called Ko Pa Nak Island & Hong Island where we went canoeing through various stalagmite and stalactite formations and even walking through large dark caves and the journey was just wonderful, writing this post right now is just making me miss Phuket a lot 🥲 we spent an overall of 30-35 minutes canoeing.
We got back into our boat and we were now on our way to the infamous James Bond Island also known as Khao Phing Kan. This island became popular amongst the tourists because of the movie 'The Man with the Golden Gun' A James Bond film which was shot here way back in 1974. Transfers to this Island are done using local long tail boats.
Honestly this location was a total waste of time as there wasn't anything to do here apart from walk on the beach. This was just a namesake touristy location that I wouldn't recommend you guys to visit and the vendors there are such a pain, they legit beg you to buy their stuff 🤦🏼♂️ I got a fish bone neck piece from them and this was the only thing I liked.
Well we were then on our way back to the pier which took us again about 45 minutes which was sweet sail into the sunset. This was truly an amazing last day that we had in Phuket and is something I will always remember. They transferred us back to the hostel once we got back to the pier.
The 3 of us were famished so we quickly freshened up and went out to grab dinner. We found a place called Sewana, It was a rustic looking bar which had a live music performance going on of some local band. They sang both Thai and English and manh they were great. Heineken Silver had also just recently launched in Thailand so there was a promotional offer going on for the beers so we took about 2-3 bottles 😂 It was quite good actually and when I googled about it, I found out that it hasn’t yet launched in India. In fact this beer was launched only last month in India.
The very next morning we had a 9 o'clock flight back to Bangkok and that would be our last day in Thailand. We woke up at 5 AM and quickly freshened up and left to 7/11 where we had a 6 AM airport bus that would well take us to the airport and the entire ride is just for 100 THB.
Alright so for the last day in Thailand, we didn't really I didn't really plan out this day because we wanted this to be a buffer day where we would do things at random, So first we quickly went back to Platinum Fashion Mall so that we could pickup so things for people back home and for ourselves as well. We took a whopping 3 hours to shop in this massive place 🤣
We were famished by the end of it so we just decided to hit the food court for lunch, we found a KFC and decided to take a bucket of chicken and pig out 😂
Next we decided to finally make time for a Thai Massage I don't know why we procrastinated so much about it but we finally fucking did it. We found a massage parlor near by called Arella Massage & Treatment Center.
All 3 of us were kept in the same room separated by curtains. They started working on my legs to start with and i was with my back faced towards the masseuse.
What happened next wasn't something I ever expected 🤣 and before y'all get your hopes up im mentioning it right away that it wasn't an happy ending 😂
All 3 of us were being massaged simultaneously in the same way and in an instant they just hopped on us 😂 they were pretty much sitting on top of is and giving us a pretty great massage and im super ticklish okay and i just started laughing my ass off 🤣 hearing me even adil started laughing followed by both our masseuses 🥲 it was just bloody hilarious. At the end if the 45 minute session we were all so relaxed, felt feather lite.
I guess all good things must come to an end yeah? Well we caught a grab taxi post the massage to head over to head to catch out flights back to India 💔 @foodiechique and Adil had a 8 PM Flight to Bangalore and my flight to Chennai was at 9 PM.
We went to the 7/11 at the airport and got a few snacks to take back to India and even shopped for some good alcohol, said our goodbyes and parted ways.
I cried my ass off like usual on the flight back home. I've always hated the ending of any trips, it's just terrible, I never want to it to stop you know. The excitement, The thrill, The adventure and not knowing what comes next.
