| The interesting thing about this church is mainly the name & where it comes from. I never heard of this story before I researched for this post. It refers to the 'Mother of God of the Life-giving Spring'. Which in turn refers to the legend of the later East-Roman emperor Leo being told by 'Mary' (centuries after her death) the location of a sacred spring near Constantinople. | Interessant an dieser Kirche ist vor allem der Name & seine Herkunft. Bevor ich für diesen Beitrag recherchierte, hatte ich noch nie von dieser Geschichte gehört. Es geht dabei um die Mutter Gottes der lebenspendenden Quelle. Dies ist eine Legende, nach der der Oströmische Kaiser Leo von einer Marienerscheinung zu einer heiligen Quelle nahe Konstantinopel geführt wurde. |

| So, not much to see, actually. The landscape is also not too interesting, but there are olive orchards & hills nearby. Hence, if you are interested in hiking, this could be one of the spots on your route. | Gibt also nicht viel zu sehen. Die Landschaft ist auch nicht übermäßig interessant, aber es gibt Olivenhaine & einige Hügel in der Nähe. Für Wanderlustige könnte es von daher durchaus ein Ausflugsziel sein. |
