Champa Tower - an ancient relic

in Worldmappin3 years ago

Hello everyone, did you have any activities today?
If not, I will take you to a historical site in Quang Nam. It is the Cham Tower of Champa. This place preserves the old architecture of a Vietnamese period.

Where is Chiem Dan Cham Tower located?

Thap Cham is located on the national highway near Tam Ky city. If you move from Da Nang city, you will ride a motorbike to the south about 58km and it will take you 1 hour and 20 minutes to arrive.

As soon as I walked in here, I was surprised with a large space, with green grass at my feet and a large campus. Facing the eyes is the magnificent Cham with 3 majestic towers. Closer, you will see that they have an ancient beauty, the towers are built of bricks and connected by something. Because this spire is over 300 years old, you will see that they will fade with time. Weeds grow around the tower, they protrude from the bricks. Looking from a distance, you will see that this Champa tower is covered with green and looks very beautiful.

I continued to explore the Cham tower by going inside the tower. Inside the main tower, there are statues of gods and a place of worship for the Cham people. But unfortunately, when I came here, the statues were taken to the museum. And here are just piles of red and moss growing around on the ground. This place is very humid, so it is also a condition for reptiles to live so you have to be careful.

At the foot of the pedestal of the spiers is a pile of bricks and a few steps of statues. These statues have the style of the Cham people, a classic design that we rarely see. You can see these are statues of dancers, goddesses, and mascots of the Cham period. In addition to these statues, there are a few larger statues placed around the campus of the relic. They have indescribable antiquity. The special sculpture is that there is a stone carving of Cham nation. These words are very different from modern Vietnamese and for me, I do not understand what is written on the stone.

This place will be a great place for young people who are passionate about ancient architecture to visit and international tourists should come here to admire the beauty of this place and understand more about Vietnam's history. When you come here, there will be a guide to introduce all the architecture and history of this relic.

The Champa Tower looks amazing, I think I've seen a building like this before in a country, but now I can't remember where.
