Montalban: The name of one town in Rizal is MONTALBAN called from the Spanish words "monte" and "alba" define as,
Monte = mountain;
Alba = dawn, daybreak.
The tour: The place called Wawa dam was located at Sitio Wawa, Barangay San Rafael, Montalban, Rizal. It was one of the historic place in the Rizal. The dam was constructed between 1904 and 1909 to meet Manila's water needs. Due to degradation and a shortage of water supply, it was shut down in 1962. Wawa Dam was dismantled when the La Mesa-Ipo-Angat watershed system was created. Today, it serves as a tourist destination where visitors may go swimming and boating.
