Exploring the Forests of the Pacific Northwest 🌲🌳

Have you ever heard of Cascadia?

Cascadia is a land of moss, pine trees, and hemlocks. Even the small cities smell like ferns and logs! Never before had I visited Tacoma and been able to experience such charming adventures until this past New Year's celebrations.

I went to Tacoma to visit two of my closest friends from college. We all lived in Oregon then and attended a university there. Now they are a couple, living happily in Tacoma.

I hadn't seen either of them in five years! Odd because I used to live with one and saw her every day! Times have changed. I now live in South America most of the year. So often I feel a sense of nostalgia of the misty forests of the Pacific Northwest which was the landscape of my college years and the surroundings under which I met these two dear friends.

And it was the forests that really brought us together this time too. Each day we explored a different land of trees, ferns, mushrooms, and rain. I feel so re-chareged by these lovely trees and the friendship from two of my oldest friends.

It was such a lovely time 💚

What a beautiful place to connect with old friends. I miss ferns and moss, I grew up surrounded by them and now I live in a different climate as well. But I so appreciate it, when I get to experience their lushness xxx
